Street Genius is a programme from Some Other Way Forward (SOWF) which offers creative placements for young people at some of London's most exciting arts organisations. Placements are open to 16 to 19-year-olds from Lambeth and Southwark, and offer hands-on training and the chance to put on your own events.

THE FINAL BLOG FROM KERNEST...
Well where do I begin Monday day was really manic; we had started preparation from 12am. We were still finalising the guest list, adding and changing people’s names last minute and was ringing round making sure that members of our team were still attending, like our bar staff and our waitresses.
After we had finished minor preparations at the office I went to go meet people who were going to be working on the night, then we met Rachel and Louise and we all walked up to Tate together where we all had to have our pictures taken and passes had to be made, once that was all done we had to transfer all of our equipment to the main cafe area so that we could dress the space.
I had to decide what volunteers were going to do what so we had some people putting flags up around the venue, we had some draping the gold material over the bar and also on the tables, some behind the bar preparing the glasses and setting drinks out, some people in the kitchen helping to prepare the canapés then JJ and his team setting up the sound system, the graffiti artist was busy most of the night with his artwork and finally we had my mum handling the cloakroom and two members of our team handling the guest list and handing out the right badges.
The Night went really well and the performers were amazing we had a spoken word piece and dancers and everyone seemed to really enjoy them.
Also I am really grateful for everyone that showed up to the event and also to everyone that helped because everyone got on with what they had to do and had no complaints.
So thanks to everyone..........

More from Kerry and Ernest
ORGANISING THE STREET GENIUS WRAP PARTY...
Well the date today is Thursday 25th and everything is underway and coming to plan we're still all manic at the moment making sure that everything is in plan like our performers and our staff so things are underway, also today we had another meeting with our team in a local cafe were we discussed what is happening on the night so for JJ he's going to be constantly making sure that the music is flowing throughout the night and that the dancers music is prepared so he's going to be as busy as us all
Me and Ernest still haven't written our speeches yet so we may have to blag our way through it LOL.
There are still a few things that need to be finalised so we are trying to get it all done today and tomorrow as Monday we will be dressing the space and making sure that all our performers are coming at the right time and so on, should be a good night and will keep you up to date with how it all went.

Is graffiti art or vandalism? Where do you draw the line? What are your views? Do you know of any examples?
Why some graffiti artists are selling high on the art market and others are getting into trouble?
Regarding the forthcoming Tate Studio (http://www.sowf.co.uk/tatestudio01.html) event we would like to hear your opinion
