We're staying put!
Well, we went, we saw we thought 'Errrr..... it's not so nice here!' So the move to Gran Canaria is off. We're really glad we went though, it would have been awful to move there only to find out just how much we disliked the place. Can't help but feel slightly relieved, the idea of orchestrating a move abroad in just a few months wasn't particularly good!

Off for a Recce
Tommy and I have decided that we can't move to Gran Canaria without checking out the lay of the land. So we're going for a week to have a look at things. Hard work, eh?! I just hope the girls are feeling a bit more themselves, we've had sickness bugs and teeth sprouting like you wouldn't believe. Poor wee mites.0 komentarze 609 dni

Gran Canaria here we come
Well, as you can see from my profile, with a bit of luck and good planning, we could be moving to the Canaries.
I thought I should start a wee blog, to keep everyone up to date with how we're getting on.
Tommy had a phone interview for a British International school in Maspalomas in the south of Gran Canaria a few weeks ago, and low and behold, he got the job! Hurrah! He'll have a primary 5 ages class, and there's only 13 of them. They'll be mostly Spanish kids, but he'll be teaching in English. It's going to be such a fantastic opportunity for all of us, can you imagine my two growing up bilingual? We'll have to learn Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Spanish!
There's still a lot to do before we go, if we do go. We've two houses to sell, one to buy for Tommy's mum, not to mention the logistics of moving stuff and us over there. That's why we're not sure if we're going yet, there's lots to organise and we're not sure if we can definately afford it yet.2 komentarzy 610 dni

That had me in hysterics for ages. just the idea of someone setting up a webcam to catch a slug! seems like the kind of thing I'd do!.
Mother informs me your coming to stay with the gruesome twosome + tommy. Hurrah! we've got all those extra bedrooms in the house, and we're making you all stay in the same one!

I'm off with the scouts on saturday for 8 days, but i'll arrange to come and see you after that! -

I'd like to come and visit you and the girls at some point after my exam (27th) and before I get busy with my show. Shall arrange something soon I'm sure.

Hi! Was lovely to see you all the other day! My dad was quite shocked at how big all the girls were - reckon he still thinks you and moya are wee girls!! Can't even imagine what he'd think if I had kids!!!! Hope the party went well and your dad wasn't too embarrassed at the photos! See you soon xxxx

Oh my goodness!
Honey and Heidi have grown SOO big! I can't believe it! I'll have to come down and see you at some time - maybe over the summer hols? I'm sorry I didn't send a birthday card - i'm terrible at remembering these things!
I have to say, I'm quite glad you're not going abroad - thgen we really would never see you!
Still keeping an eye out for posts up here for Tommy, but the ones I'm seeing just now are internal only! Pants!
