my new flatmate, Gus
I thought it was a dust-bunny - it musta been the swish of air that pushed him under the bed as i moved past. then tonight i heard it - not once, but twice. that familiar old click. omigosh, i have no passion for geckos. note the plural - i just heard another click from the lounge - please, please don't let there be two of them. it's 12.15 am. school has been tiring the past few days with too many activities leaving the kids as high as jets. then at 6 tonight went back for a gay thing called 'bring a book to bed' - kids came in their pygamas, with their teddies and pillows and the most boring books. and i was pretending to love it because the new HOD was there too! and i just wanted to come home to sleep. and now Gus. worst flight contd
we boarded the plane and were still standing at muscat airport an hour after we were supposed to have taken off. my fellow passenger and new friend asked a hostess what the delay was all about. she of the pink and purple apparel then replied something along these lines: it never rains in ....(the country of my current residence), so the guys in the towers are not sure whether we should take off. You see, it had started to rain in ....just a few minutes ago - just a slight little drizzle. Nevertheless, it's the type of thing that make my students go crazy with awe and wonderment (useless info designed to give you some idea of the rain status in .....) Our plane took off shortly after my new friend's inquiry. A few minutes later, while we were still climbing frantically (aircraft nose-up), we started shaking like crazy. Then as if learning a new dance in mini-steps she started leaning over from wing to wing, still shaking. and then, the piece de resistance - she began to pliex (is that how you spell plee-ay?). She dipped so deep, and in a nose-up position, I kept worrying about her tail. People screamed each time she went down; the screams went louder with each dip because each one went deeper. And then, in unison, we all started praying in a million dialects, and hugging each other. Hand went up, rosaries came out. at one point I 'knew' - this is it; i'm making my grand exit. And then we struggled frantically for our altitude - she was almost in a rocket position at blast off. And miraculously...the frantic dance ends and she's calm. And then we wonder why there was no turbulence warning, and no apologies afterwards. Suddenly fear sets in again as this could easily be you know what coz we're you know where. and then in one chorus, the request for booze goes out in a million tongues and a million dialects. i wanna be too pissed to be smart. i wanna be too pissed to be afraid. however, liqour is limited and there are only so many hostesses and koffie moffies on duty. the shock comes when we reach destination on our scheduled time. could our lives have been risked to save the capitalists a few million in docking fees? Or has everyone just been so shocked that they passed out and missed an hour of their lives. and then, by some trick of whoever or whatever, our watches were too shocked to do their thing???questions questions.2 Commentaren 335 dagen

Hello mom how are u sorry i missd ur call the other morning hope u feel nice and relaxd b4 the New year of teaching starts man its so hot over here in Aussie now u are lucky u left just in time lol its been 43 degrees 4 days in a row and iv'e stayed indoors with the aircon pumped up hard lol i mis u lots it was relly gud 2 see u when u came over look 4ward 2 when u get back and 2 introducing u 2 Gwen's parents im sure u guy's will get along nicely just thought i'd drop u a msg love u mom

hey mom how are u doing hope all's we'll with u and Ur plans are progressing we'll We are good im trying my best 2 support dad i can see his sadness everyday can see he really misses u and needs u im not saying it 2 make u feel bad or anything. And as for Dean please try 2 talk 2 him his got a good job over here and lots going 4 him and 2day he booked a 1way ticket back 2 New Zealand 4 the 25th of Dec and his intention is never 2 come back here 2 stay i think he needs a little more time 2 sort himself out so ya! things aren't good at the moment. and between him and daddy its not 2 good nether cause of deans choice. lol at 'asian cuisine nz style' - arent we all just ethnically aware
last week we all went over to our korean friends for lunch but they had some octopus dish . . . . and none of us touched it . . . so awkward tryna say no thanx . . .but i don't even eat octopus in niue . . .haha but love everthing else tho . . .
it's rens birhtday today and the girls have put up there bday present so chek out my flash n have a laugh . . . .

my little korean friend totaled me car 2 weeks ago when i was teaching him to drive. drove it thru a fence from a parked position. actually i don't really mind that much coz now i have a little bit bigger car.
one more week of holiday and have been made permanent reliever for nga iwi school. hope they have a position for me next year. so what did u do for the hols. i tried to spend as little as possible which was impossible with 2 teenagers. but tryna save like mad to make it to japan next year. where's yr pics man or do they have a ban on that. interested in your headcase thing. cultural?
