- Tha Dogg Pound was an integral part of the Death Row Records empire, which cast a tall shadow over rap music in the early to mid-'90s, and though the label only released one Dogg Pound album, Dogg Food (1995), the duo's impression remained fairly constant in the years that followed, as the two group members pursued solo careers and occasionally reunited. Kurupt and Dat Nigga Daz comprise Tha Dogg Pound.

Kurupt
Kurupt began his winding career with Death Row Records and rose to momentary fame alongside Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, but struggled to establish himself as a successful solo artist. Born Ricardo Brown in Philadelphia in 1972, he moved to Hawthorne, CA, as a teen, where he befriended Snoop and joined the roster of Death Row. He debuted on Dre's Chronic album and continued to contribute guest appearances to successive Death Row releases, most notably Snoop's Doggystyle. He ultimately debuted as one-half of tha Dogg Pound, a partnership with rapper/producer Daz Dillinger spun-off from Snoop's enormous success at that time. Together with Daz and Snoop, Kurupt enjoyed sizable success with Dogg Food (1995) and its hit singles: "Let's Play House" and "New York, New York." Three years later the then-A&M-affiliated Antra Records released Kuruption! the rapper's ambitious double-disc solo debut.
1998 Kurupts debut album kuruption made modest success but failed to make much of a commercial impact the album featured a westcoast disc and a eastcoast disc and featured Dr Dre, Tray Deee, Baby S, Daz, Gonzoe, Buck Shot, Noreaga Aswell as a few others.
In 1999 Kurupt released Tha Streetz iz a mutha his second solo album this cd was much better than kuruption but suffered just as much as it in the charts and with commercial impact it featured the singles Tha streetz iz a mutha and who ride with us the album featured Roscoe his younger brother, Daz, Xzibit, Snoop Dogg, Soopafly, Jayo Felony, Warren G, Nate Dogg, Tray Deee, Dr Dre, KRS-1, Crooked I, Hittman and Baby S.
In 2001 Kurupt's next release, Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey aimed for crossover success, incorporating pop-rap elements as well as unlikely big-name guests like Fred Durst and Everlast, but again made little impact beyond the rapper's limited following.
Other than Fred Durst & Everlast It featured Nate Dogg, Soppafly, MC Ren, Xzibit, Daz, Snoop Dogg, Damani, DJ Quik, Lil Half Dead & Butch Cassidy.
after a three year break in which he only done guest features and dogg pound records kurupt returned to death row Records in 2004 to prepare for against the grain working with the death row family again his album was released on august 25th 2005 but the bootlegs and EPs were released in 2003 and 2004 featuring unreleased songs by kurupt and his Dogg pound family. Against the grain had no hit singles and featured Deathrow inmates Eastwood, Spider Loc his young brothers Tri-Star and Roscoe aswell as M.O.P., Dayton Family and the Late great 2 pac.
After Daz & Kurupt reunited kurupt signed to DPG Recordz once again released a new dogg pound album then released his latest solo effort Entitled Same Day, Different Shit in June 2006 under his Alias Young Gotti.
Kurupt is still signed to DPG Recordz and is releasing his anticipated new album under Snoop Doggs Doggystyle Records.0 Comments 293 weeks

Daz Dillinger
One of the key members of the mid-'90s Death Row Records empire, producer/rapper Daz Dillinger worked alongside some of the West Coast's best rappers. Along with Kurupt, Nate Dogg, and Snoop Dogg, Dillinger (at time known as Dat Nigga Daz) was one of the Long Beach, CA, Rappers that had been introduced to Dr. Dre through Warren G during the preliminary stages of the legendary Chronic album. Though Dillinger played only a minor role in the success of that album, his subsequent contributions to Snoop Dogg's Doggystyle album as a rapper quickly established him as an up-and-coming West Coast talent. And when his production helped make 2Pac's All Eyez on Me such a success, he was chosen to be Dr. Dre's successor for the production of Snoop's Tha Doggfather album.
After Tha Dogg Pounds 1995 Release Dogg Food Daz released his first solo effort Retaliation, Revenge & Get Back the album featured Snoop Doggy Dogg, Nate Dogg, Techniec, Kuupt, Tray Deee, Lil C Style, Bad Azz, WC, Too Short, B-Legit, MC Eiht And More.
