    • New mix and a new track

      Did this the other day. Melodic, tough and a bit playful in places is how I'd describe it. Covers a bit of everything from tech house and techno with a sprinkle of what some peeps call minimal. Did it after I'd finished a presentation that'd taken up alot of time over the last week so had to get my tune fix.....

    • Prepare to be SHOCKED!!!

      Well....

      Just a note to inform you all of a brand spankin' new monthly event called SHOCK! that's going to be taking place in the all new, all modified shiney Trinity Rooms this Friday night. Music on the night will be provided by Jon Averill and Steven Reynolds performing an Abelton Live set along with new local resident Ross O'Lochlainn.

      A few little tadbits of information about SHOCK if you'd like to know.

      SHOCK! started off as a small side project in 2006 by Jon Averill & Steve Reynolds with fun nights as the only prerequisite. The main idea behind the night was to put on the best events possible that are fun for those involved & the people that go to them. We don't believe in prescribing to any single style of music, we just want to play the music we love to anyone who will listen.

      A few large events have already been run including the Shock'd event which was attended by over 800 people & mixed DJ performances with live illustration by graphic designers and graffiti
      artists as well as live painting in ultraviolet light sensitive markers.

      Recent Shock gigs in Dublin include Datarock,
      Chicks On Speed (DJ Set), Fujiya & Miyagi, The Filthy Dukes and A Certain Ratio.

      including: Hot Chip, Yello, Minimal Compact, Minilogue, Jesse Rose, Dondolo, Padded Cell, The Presets, Nitzer Ebb, Stephan Bodzin, Trentemoeller, Marc Romboy,

      The Musical Mystery Tour, It will take place on Sat the 31st of Oct (Halloween Night). @ FAIRYHOUSE COMPLEX, there will be yet again three rooms of music and in each one there will be a mix of House, Techno, Electro played from 4pm till the early morning hours.       Wow, you travel the wilds of Bebo at near light speed - Pete just said you added him too :)
      Damn, could have jammed a copy of issue one into the envelope! We'll be planning issue 3 soon so keep in touch. And there's always a place on game.ie for anything you want to write!
      Hopefully will get back to sending games out to reviewers soon, it was almost ridiculously hectic getting the mag out.
