wow! seems like it's been ages since I last updated this thing! ok, maybe it has been like a year or so, but hey! I'm a busy person, so I'm sure y'all can forgive me!
so, update....um, almost finished 3rd yr of my course, one left then we'll see what happens! My major 3rd year project'l be goin live shortly, which I hope you'l all go to the website + check out??? thanks muchly!!
I'm workin with the BPI in London atm on a project that'l go online shortly! so anyone wanting to do a music course, I'l tell you where to look for a full deatiled list in about 4 months time!

Kung Fu Panda! Was Great!!.....but what was missing??
It is well known amoung my friends that I am an animation geek! Having owned most of the Disney videos from a young age, then moving to the Pixar computer creations over the next few years, to falling for the goofy Shrek + Donkey, I am usually the one to suggest going to see the newest release at the cinema! Because we all know, nothing beats seeing a movie on "the big screen", the smell of stale popcorn in the air, spilled juice on the floor from the previous showing that makes your shoes stick to the ground + make questionable noises when you leave + have to peel them off the floor! Oh the joys of the cinema experience?!?!!
So I went to see the new animation yesterday, with the all-star cast vocals + have to say, was ever so slightly disappointed! I mean, the story sounded good, the vocal talents lined up for the parts were amazing, but I just felt something was lacking!!
I mean it had everything you could possibly want from a kids animated film...
funny one-liners for the adults to appreciate? Check!
slap-stick action for the kids to laugh out loud at? Check!
all-star vocal line-up? Check!!!!!
So why, did it just seem like any other animated film to have been released over the past few years??
Each character seemed well-rounded enough + the voices fitted perfectly! Ian McShane was a brilliant choice for the darkness of Tai Lung, perhaps having played the part of the Devil in the musical adaptation of The Witches of Eastwick definately helped him there!
So people, any ideas why it just didnt make me want to rush out and buy the dvd on the week it gets released??
I have nothing against any of the actors who lent their voices to each of the characters! In fact, they couldnt have been cast any better!! But is that possibly why it didnt quite work? It was maybe al to perfect + precise with no 'shock' castings?? Or was it maybe the slight feeling of the Lion King at parts (as Hans Zimmer composed the score for both of these films)??
who knows! any suggestions would be well accepted, because its driving me slowly demented!!!
