okay, today i got a message from some guy being all "i unsubscribed from you." and these messages always amuse me because anonymous people feel the need to message me to say that they unsubscribed, as if i might be personally hurt or devastated.

anyway so he said he unsubscribed because of some other guy whose profile i went to look at. so this guy has a video up asking everyone to unsub from their 'top 4 most subscribed subscriptions'. are we all up to speed? yeah.

i just think it's hilarious what a 'subscription' means to people these days. i sub solely to channels that i watch because the subscription feed on my youtube homepage is easy to follow. it tells me when my favourite channels put up new content. the end. the fact that someone would unsubscribe from someone purely because they have a lot of subscribers and don't 'deserve' it is just hilarious - why sub in the first place?

and i love the notion that channels with very few subs are more worthy of your precious subscription. i love that! the fact is, that most channels with well-produced content or content that appeals to the masses, are or will have a large audience/subscriber base and those that don't will not.

subscribe to stuff you enjoy. whatever.
