- We are in the Army Cadet Force based in Bothwell road Hamilton.
This organisation is based to allow boys and girls from the ages of 12-18 to get a little taste of army life and we have fun along the way by going to camps and having a laugh with cadets from Strathaven , Motherwell , Newmains , Larkhall , Coalburn and sometimes Glasgow areas.
If u join you can also do some qualifications such as the Duke of Edinbrugh award and First aid both of these reflect nicely on future job applications
Cadets isn't only about the army we have many competitions all year round such as football,table tennis,air rifle shooting,quizes and much more so you don't need to be an army nut to enjoy cadets so if you are interested come down to the hall and see for yourself you also get a good Laugh

well done to this years Hamilton i.d.t team who won us the mckellor trophy
and came 5th in the actual i.d.t out of 13 well get it nxt year lol
best cadet went to cpl hardie from Newmains (well done big man)
cadets cadet went to sgt gilhooley from Hamilton
battallion awards
Hamilton came 2nd in this years potted sports competition so well done to the team
also well done to the A coy shooting team who won the battalion shooting comp
also well done to cpl stewart and sergeant gilhooley who got in the cadet 100s top 100 shooters
hamilton also won the news of the world trophy
cpl gilhooley also got his battalion colours for shooting so congrats
