This song is about an ex-band member. In an interview that comes on the CD, lead singer Ryan Key says the song is a very emotional song for the whole band. The line, "When you get lonely if no one's around, you know that I'll catch you when you're falling down. We came together but you left alone, and I know how it feels to walk out on your own" shows his sadness over his good friend's decision, and that he's always there for him.

Believe

it is simply a song to all the fireman who died during the September 11 terrorist attacks. It's written from the point of view of someone who was in one of the Twin Towers as it was burning down and was rescued by a fireman who died when he went back in to help more people.

Only One

This is about Ryan Key, the lead singer, and his decision to leave his girlfriend. It was about a breakup with his girlfriend and knowing that it was the right thing to do, but not knowing exactly sure why. He knew it was a good decision but struggled to understand it.

Date Of Birth: December 17, 1979

Born William Ryan Key, Key lived in Jacksonville, Florida, and started playing piano at the age of 9 and guitar at age 13. He attended Episcopal High School of Jacksonville before transferring to Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, from which he graduated. He then attended Florida State University but dropped out. During this time he sang in a Jacksonville band called Modern Amusement (who subsequently broke up in 199 . He next moved to Santa Cruz, California along with Dan McLintock of Inspection 12 to join Craig's Brother but moved back to Jacksonville after less than a year in CB.

Key sang a duet with Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines for the song "How I Go."

Key wears a ring on his finger, but he is not married. In many of his songs he talks about his future wife and son.

Key is a Sagittarius.

Before joining Yellowcard he wanted to become an actor.

Sean Mackin

Sean Mackin is the violinist and backing vocalist of the pop-punk band Yellowcard.

Sean is half irish and half japanese.

He's been playing the violin since he was 6 years old.

He has gained fame in Yellowcard concerts for performing a backflip.

At first Mackin was only asked to play violin on a couple Yellowcard songs by high school friends Ben Harper and Longineu W. Parsons III. After that the band had decided to keep Mackin as a permanent member.

Ryan Mendez

Ryan Mendez is the lead guitarist in the alternative rock band Yellowcard. His band mates refer to him as Mendez, probably to avoid confusion with Ryan Key, the band's vocalist/guitarist.

Mendez had been a member of the now defunct band, Staring Back. He joined Yellowcard shortly after recording the album, Lights and Sounds, when lead guitarist and founding member Ben Harper left the band to focus on his record label Takeover Records.

He has appeared in three of the group's music videos: Lights and Sounds, Rough Landing, Holly, and Light Up the Sky. Mendez took part in the writing process for the band's latest album Paper Walls.

Mendez is the only married member of Yellowcard.

Longineu W. Parsons III

Longineu W. Parsons III a.k.a. "LP" (born February 16, 1980) is the drummer for pop-punk band Yellowcard and has been the only full time member since the band formed to remain in the present.

Longineu's other nicknames are Da Pizz, Da Pizzle, Pizzle, and Animal. Longineu was taught by his father and has been playing the drums since he was 2 years old. He played in The Longineu Parsons Ensemble. LP has two pet snakes and a pet lizard named Sharon, Ozzie, and Spike respectively. His drumset is named Animal. LP has also recorded an African-Jazz CD that is selling on iTunes.
