History of Bible Holiness Tabernacle..................
Ok, so for all of you that keep telling me I need to update this profile, here you go. Life has been so busy here for the past two months. (since the first of July) I knew that the Lord had been directing me to pioneer a holiness church in our area. For the Past 8 1/2 years we have traveled 1.5 hours one way to be in a holiness church. But from all of that I would not trade one day of it nor any of the experiences that happened to me also.
Last November during the week of Thanksgiving I prayed and felt directed to go and talk to the General Overseer of the Church of God House of Prayer organization. The Headquarters is only 5 miles from our home. Since the time I was born that was the church I was raised in until our family left the church in search of a holiness church after ours had compromised on so many issues. When I spoke with the Overseer, I asked if I could lease or rent the church grounds. (the church is a 2 story 60"x110" that seated over 500!!! Big faith I know. He informed me that I could not use it and that they would discuss it again at there General Assembly in July!!!!!!!!!!
So during the spring and summer I really began to seek God to give me favor with these men. It wasn't the easiest thing to do, seeing that we use to go to church there, but I knew that this is what God had directed me to do. When I approached the board in late July things did not look good at all. I was told that they needed to pray about it and to come back in 3 days. I called several people, my church and pastor Bro. Wagner to pray for the favor of the Lord and His will.
That day when I sat before the board I honestly did not think i would get the facilities, but then I knew what God had told me. I spoke to the men and told them that this would be a holiness church and that I was only wanting to use their facilities and nothing more. (like be one of their churches) I know this may seem weird and I even thought if this were me and my organization I would say no especially if they didn't want to be licensed through them. For a few minutes I sat there as they talked about rent, heat, utilities, etc. Then one brother form Prince Edward Island, of whom God had given me favor with spoke up and said "I feel that we ought to help the lad out, and if he feels this is what God told Him then who are we to stand in the way!" So 2 days later they told me I could use the building for one year and then see how things went, but that God had spoken to them in their private meeting and said for them "to be a help and not a hindrance" to me!!!! The other miracle of this is that no one has ever been able to do this since its inception in the 1940's, and others have offered to buy or rent it to no avail. The only obligation that I have is to pay tithe of our tithes as a form of rent so that the church will not be under a certain financial strain.
so much more to come please feel free to call anytime on the cell if you want!!!8 comentarios 455 días

You Might Be Pentecostal If...
You Might Be Pentecostal If...
I got this from a friend (thanks Sara I love it)
1. The musicians are your church can "tear it up" but can't read sheet music.
2. You have 20 pair of church shoes.
3. You ladies can stop a run in stockings with just about anything.
4. A night on the town is a birthday party.
5. The pastor says, "With this thought, I will close," more than 3 times in a service.
6. You have respect for flying hairpins.
7. You judge a church by swollen eyes, rumpled clothes, and messy hair.
8. Your feet have been stomped more than 3 times in a service.
9. Your kids know how to eat any crunchy thing quietly.
10. When shopping for clothes, you always run them through the "Praise the Lord" test.
11. Sunday and Wednesday means no cooking or dishes!
12. You can maneuver into a vehicle without messing up your hairdo.
13. Celebrating your 21st birthday is nothing different from any other.
14. The employee's at McDonald's know you by name.
15. You can always find hairpins on the floor after a good service.
16. You can pronounce "Habakkuk."
17. You're day of rest includes 2 church services, choir practice, and Pizza Hut!
18. Growing up you baptized your cousins and siblings several times in the swimming pool.
19. Your 2 year old runs through Wal-mart shouting "Praise the Lord!"
20. Your hair spray bill exceeds your gas bill.
21. If your Mother has an emergency safety pin kit on her at all times!
22. You go swimming in a jean skirt.
23. Your brother or sister in the Lord hugs you right in the middle of Wal-mart.
24. The only way you can wear nail polish is to stop a run in your panty hose.
25. You're considered an old maid if you're not married by the age of 18! (What is up with that???)
26. Running the aisles is your only form of exercise.
27. You could be an Olympic volleyball player after all the practice you've had "from church functions."
28. Your pastor says "In Closing" more then three times at the ending of his sermon.
29. It takes longer to take prayer request than it does to pray for them.
30. If you have ever listened to your favorite TV show on a short-wave radio!
31. If after an awesome service one or more of your parents starts speaking in tongues while trying to place an order at the McDonald's drive-thru window!
32. Your pastor announces EVERY Sunday night that you will be having service on Wed. night.
THINK YOU MIGHT BE PENTECOSTAL?

Holiness Is Right!!! Just say Amen!
I guess this is gonna be my pet peave section. I just don't get people who are raised in this wonderful truth and taught it, and they still refuse to obey because of a fleshly desire. I 100% agree that Holiness begins on the inside and the Lord will take care of the rest, the only problem is some people don't allow Him to have full controll of their lives. Anyway....
Our church had its 17th annual youth camp and the Lord really moved and ministered like never before. On friday the morning chaple lasted for 3 hours, and went right into field day time. (Now you know something good was happening) Bro. Bobby and Mark were teaching on holiness and instructing the young people on modesty e.g. slits, jewelry, clothing, tv, and women cutting, trimming, shearing, burning, nipping, chopping (did I leave anything out for those of you who still do this) We got a call a week after camp from a Baptist family who sent their three girls to camp. By the way this family still goes to the Baptist Church in Keyser, but because of the lives of our church people they have given up their TV and pants prior to camp. The mother wanted us to pray for her because she closed her beauty shop, because when her girls got home they said mama please dont ever cut or trim our hair again we dont want to deliberately sin.( these are Baptist mind you) She cried on the phone and said I never knew that was in the Bible. She asked us to pray for her because alot of the women in town would be upset that she closed her shop and would no longer cut their hair. The sad fact is the one giving her the hardest time is a backslidden holiness women who likes her hair shaved.
Im so thankful for the truth of the Bible and how if we want more of the Lord "the things of this world will grow strangly dim, in light of His glory and grace"
Let me know what you think?!?!?!?!13 comentarios 1200 días
