Virgin Radio has teamed up with Big Brother producer Endemol for a weekly online TV show fronted by the station's Sunday night DJ and former 11 O'Clock presenter, Iain Lee.

Punch Drunk TV is described as an "irreverent" online entertainment show and will appear on the Virgin Radio website for an initial run of up to three months.

Lee, who previously presented a phone-in show on London talk station LBC and was one of the presenters of Channel 4's ill-fated RI:SE, joined Virgin Radio at the beginning of this year.

The station is looking for a sponsor for the show and is talking to advertisers about product placement opportunities unavailable on terrestrial TV.

"We aren't a traditional television broadcaster but we have a lot of eyeballs that we can bring to the party," said Andy Grumbridge, Virgin Radio's digital media director. "People are coming to our website now and they are expecting to see video."

The pilot, in which Lee takes users on a tour of Virgin's central London studios, went online for the first time this week.

Grumbridge said the station would encourage users to rip the video from the Virgin Radio site and put it on their own blog and social networking pages.

"They can either stream it from the Virgin Radio site, which will be its home, or they can download it direct from the site, subscribe to it on iTunes or put it on their blog. We are positively encouraging people to do that."

Pasa Mustafa, head of digital studios at Endemol UK, said: "This is the first time that Endemol has joined forces with a radio broadcaster and for us Virgin Radio's track record in creative and experimental digital media makes them the obvious partner.

"We're also loving working with Iain Lee. His unique presenting style has already earned him a strong, almost cult online following. He's the ideal frontman for this show."

The Banff World Television Festival,
announced today the nominees for the 29th annual Banff World Television
Awards, at an event held in partnership with the Alberta U.K. office at the
High Commission of Canada in London, England. International award-winning
Producer Jon Plowman, (also the recipient of the 2008 Banff World Television
Lifetime Achievement Award) announced the 100 nominees selected from the more
than 900 entries received this year in 22 program categories.

"The Banff World Television Awards (Rockies) are among the world's most
coveted television awards. The high number of entries from the more than 44
countries and territories, representing a 15% increase from last year, proves
the Award's continued growth and recognition within our international
television community," commented Jennifer Harkness, Executive Director of the
Banff World Television Festival.

Banff Springs Hotel, in Banff, Alberta, Canada, on Monday, June 9, 2008, where
the award winners will be announced. A complete list of nominees for the 2008
Banff World Television Awards follows below.

New program categories at this year's Rockies include Environmental
Programs and Social & Humanitarian Programs to address the larger social and
humanitarian issues in the world today. The U.K. earned the highest number of
nominees with Canada and the U.S. a close second. Australia and Germany are
strong contenders across a variety of categories as well.

The list of all countries and territories represented in this year's
Program Competition includes: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil,
Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland,
Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan,

In addition to the 100 nominees for the Banff "Rockie" Awards, an
additional number of programs have been selected for out of competition (Hors
Concours) recognition.
