Fall or Swim?

To fall in love is to fall down
As to swim alone is to surely drown
And to take the leap that is of fate
Is an act of selflessness that comes to late
And to summon the strength to say these words
Is to break free of the darkness that keeps them unheard
So if to fall in love, I must fall alone
Because I will certainly dorwn before I can call you my own.

The new young priest, conducting his first Mass, was so scared he could barely speak. After the Service he nervously asked the Monsignor how he fared.
"Fine" he said," but next week it might be a great help if you put a little gin or vodka in your Holy Water to give you a more relaxed approach."
Next week the young priest laced his chalice generously with vodka and thereafter the verbage flowed from his lips like a silver tongued orator. Afterwards he confidently approached Monsignor and asked how he went that time.
"Fine son, fine, but there are a few little points we must straighten out -
1. There are 10 Commandments, not 12
2. There were 12 deciples, not 10
3. David 'slew' Goliath, he didn't kick shit out of him
4. We never, never refer to Jesus Christ as the 'Late J.C.'
5. And next Saturday it's a taffy pulling at St Peters, not a Peter pulling at St Taffy's
6. The Father, Son and the Holy Ghost are not Big Daddy, Junior and the Spook
7. Moses 'parted' the water at the Red Sea, he did not 'pass' water
8. The man's name was Judas, not El Finko
9. The Pope is consecrated, not castrated and by the way, we do not speak of him as the Godfather.
