Hi all.I am Laurie;witch,mother,wife and best friend!I work as a staff nurse with the NHS.Am married to Ally and have one child-Sam who is a nice lad! I am described as "eccentric" possibly due to my rather odd outlook and actions at times but I am generally happy and try to be a good person.I am vegetarian and have HUGELY strong beliefs with regards to animal welfare.I have 4 cats-ERIC,POPPY,LOUIS & JASPER who are doted upon!I love books,music,arts and crafts and also spending time with my best buddy Bri.I am not into materialism-I like what I like I am a solitary practitioner of Witchcraft.I don't have many regrets in life and try to remain positive in my outlook. - Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens

sor sisters, adiemous, james taylor, the roches, loreena mckennit, imogen heap, ben taylor, blackmore's night, rush, amy mcdonald, wendy rule(a fellow Witch) cirque du soleil soundtracks, mike oldfield(yeah i'm the one who buys his cds!!)anything celtic-very eclectic tastes-I even like the odd "modern "song!!!LOLMy latest CD is really good and instantly put onto my ipod-it's "THE ESSENTIAL ALBUM"and makes good car listenin!I think I might be a bit of an auld hippy, lookin at my music tastes alone! i love to have plays, short stories and books to listen to on my i-pod when i go to bed at night-ally on one side plugged into his i-pod, me on the other side plugged into mine;cats all over the bed : BLISS I LOVE the new NOISETTES album.NOUVELLE VAGUE and my latest MINISTRY OF SOUND CHILLOUT cd- Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens
- FILMS: the (original) wicker man, the wizard of oz, rita sue and bob too, one flew over the cuckoo's nest, whatever happened to baby jane, when harry met sally, from dusk till dawn, pulp fiction, the saw series, most things by quentin tarantino, witches o eastwick, the original alfie:mike leigh's stuff-abigail's party, nuts in may etc are splendidly splendid and at the same time, excrutiating! moulin rouge and old musicals are also faves: gotta say grease- have seen it a million times and know all the words! the prestige - i even have the book of that one, one flew over the cuckoo's nest BOOKS: I much prefer books :I love Carol Smith, zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance by Robert Pirsig changed my life as did CATCHER IN THE RYE AND FRANNY AND ZOOEY , both by J D Salinger, Dean Koontz, Thomas Hardy -especially RETURN OF THE NATIVE & FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD, John Irving's OWEN MEANY, The Other Bolyn Girl, Stephen King, Joanne Harris.I LOVE BOOKS!

- TV FAVES: Nighty Night, Dr Who, Kath n Kim, Avengers, Black Books, Benidorm. I try not to be too addicted to crap TV and tend to spend more time reading, but the shows I DO like are brill and best watched with friends!Also love Cirque du Soleil-I even have the box set!This is probably THE SADDEST admission I will ever make but I like the Antiques Roadshow!!!There-I said it!!!! I avoid ALL animal progs cos something invariably gets killed and then it preys on my mind for ages cos as far as animals are concerned, I am a sad sap!I am also DEAD interested in TUDOR history-not just on TV but to read about as well but I had noowhere to put this bit!I am discovering a real liking for history-I know-who woulda thought it???

ng tablets, coffee, and patience!!!Tracey's farts, Having a really dull profile!- These are a few of my favorite things!
- My laptop-COLIN, spending money, reading and generally chilling and doing my own thing.Getting wasted with Bri is another(infrequent!)hobby but one which I enjoy immensely! Tho I like my job, days off are kinda groovy too and the best part of working if I am honest!Coffee breaks at work make me happy too!I also love having lotsa money and spending it in Borders and also partaking of their Starbucks facility and perusing the books with a skinny, no whip extra hot white choc moccha in my grubby mitt!And strawberries-how can i forget STRAWBERRIES-I love the little red vit c filled blighters! My cats are the total bollox! ERIC, POPPY, LOUIS and JASPER are the furry loves of my life!A strange one but my GP Hamish McCowan who is an absolute gem and has provided so much support, advice and time!

- Staff Nurse with NHS- I enjoy it mosta the time but I do think its is scary that I am left in charge of 22 people's lives on a shift-somehow I keep thinking that someone will realise they made a mistake giving me so much responsibility-I mean I am the one with the head full of purple and pink sparkly things and furry critters!

- i belive in animal rights, vegetarianism, freedom of speech, banning animal testing for stupid things like toiletries and products for makin the house smell!all religion is good so long as it encourages good in its followers.coffee keeps me sane.Love makes the world go round but a good dose of spite now and again gets the adrenalin flowing!I hate cancer!!!!! I also think organ donation is a good idea and I support animal and cancer charities-both are subjects close to my heart and not always for good reasons!I have learnt not to waste a single second of a single day because there is always a chance that time will run out before you get to do all you want to do and say all you mean to say!Always tell those close to you that you love them and value every second you spend with them because you never know what will happen next, Treat them as you would want to be treated and know that the effort of trying will always pay off in the end!

Well that's it sorted......Aunty Alison is gonna mind ma pussycats and we are off to New York in spring-can't wait can't wait can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!
Also lookin forward to my annual leave soon and going to see our GORGEOUS English Mum and famlee!!!
Oh New York-I cannot believe it!Liz was talking about it,describing in detail and makin me wanna go NOW!!!!!!!I already have my list of places to visit and have all the info on the tour bus that you just jump on and off and Sam is slavering at the thought of all those designer shops!Ally,too is looking forward to it-think it's the ice hockey that is getting him going tho!!!
After all the trauma,tears and sadness of this past year,it is good to have something positive to look forward to-by that I mean going to see our lovely friends in England as well as the NY trip..............................
I just find the thought of going to America totally mental and can't believe we finally have the cash to just blitz on a braw holiday somewhere so mad!!!!
Tonight I am mainly being happy!!!!!

TODAY
When I am alone,I remain sad and tearful,but in company,I am able to rally round and seem human!Actually had a really good day today because I went into town with Ally and Sam.We had surprised Sam by offering to pay half of the new Barbour jacket he wanted and so we entered the almost reverential sanctity of one of the designer shops and bought said jacket which actually turned out to be about £40 less than we thought so bought ma boy some Armani aftershave as well.I bought a new bag (yeah like I really needed ANOTHER bag!!!)and Ally bought jeans but doesn't like them now that he has tried them on!!!!!We went for lunch and had a laughand generally had a fine,chillin ,cheery day even though the rain was pissin down and I had started off feeling rather down!
Came home and just kinda lazed about then dyed my hair again and now I am on here messing about.
All in all a fine old Sunday and I am at work tomorrow on shift with my friends Ali and Maureen so should be fine-so long as the patients behave!!!!
I feel as though I am very slowly healing and that one day,I will be able to smile when I think of Bri,rather than feel so sad and lost.
Again,my friends are proving to be such a huge help and I thank them so much-especially Grace for all her wisdom

Sadness
I am finding things rather difficult to cope with at the moment.The missing part has really started to kick in and all I can think of is Bri and how much I really miss him.It feels like a physical pain.We have never been apart for this length of time and it is driving me to tears every single day.The problem is that I have been left to my own devices the past few nights and tha is when I start to think and miss him even more and get all teary and down.I am assured it won't always be this awful and that it is a normal part of bereavement and boy is it hard!
I am glad to have my work to go to-it gives me focus and I get to see all the nice folks(well mosta them are nice) that I work with.All in all though,I still feel I am coping better than I ever ever imagined I would-with the help of my wonderful wee family and my gorgeous friends.Thankyou all for keeping me kinda sane!!! x0 comentarios 100 días

yeh i deserve it worked so many extra shifts. and it be good to spend sum quality time wi the beloved. been ages !! he gets bk 6th nov. i sent him out some holiday brochures to look at. he dont know where they gone to the rest ov the camp been looking at them. lol. i had visions ov all his battalion being there but most of them goin to thailand he says !! so phew
