- Gok Wan was born in 1974 in Leicester. He has worked in the fashion industry for almost a decade. He is a prominent and well loved character mainly because of his down to earth attitude. Gok is slightly mischievous and he said "I never dreamt as a child that the people I danced around my bedroom singing to and tried to emulate style-wise, I’d one day get to tell what to wear!”
When Gok was younger, he fought obesity weighing in at an incredible 21 stone. He says that a trigger cause for this is both his parents worked in restaurants and so there was always "nice food around".
Since then, he has worked hard to get to where he is now. He has his TV show on channel 4... "How To Look Good Naked" and a follow up book, also called "How To Look Good Naked", that is published by Harper Collins.
