Linlithgow and District Pipe Band are extremely pleased to annouce it has a new Pipe Major and Leading Drummer for the 2009 season. Both positions were filled at the band AGM on Monday September 8th and the band is simply looking forward to competing again after only managing to attend 3 competitions due to lack of numbers in 2008.

Pipe Major Ally McLaughlin joins the band from The House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead. Ally has played in Shotts for many years and brings with him 8 pipers to add to the existing pipers at Linlithgow which also includes another former Shotts piper Stuart 'Chuckles' Smith.

Leading Drummer Colin McKenzie. Colin has many years experience with several bands and his last registered band was the Grade 1 Dysart and Dundonald. Colin has also brought with him an entire drum corps, many of whom were last playing in the same Dysart corps to add to the existing corps at Linlithgow.

still working away at the uni then i take it..no no not worked in burger king since i left uni,been working in a school as a coach then left that for a higher paid job been working as a personal trainer in a local gym as well as taking classes in a ladies gym called curves some alright fanny by the way!! waiting to hear back from a big paid job working in hmp kilmarnock as a personal trainer,yeah believe it or not they scumbags do also get gym work also paid for by our tax!oh and signed for a local junior team too so some more income!!whats 4th year like banter improved since i left?? still the gypsies of the uni?? whose all still there? will need to get a wee night out arranged and i shall pop up theres no excuses at the weekends as killie now have buses in the mornings!! lol u and bell will get the same message am pushed for time
