- hey there. my names caheragh macra, mommy and daddy were strange people and thus gave me this strange name, u wouldn't believe the teasing i got during my school days oh well i'm all grown up now
just a little about me,
well i'm a club for young people usually between the ages of 17 and 35. i'm located in west cork concidently in caheragh parish but i have many friends from the parishes of bantry kealkil, ballydehob, drimoleague drinagh and skibbereen.
so what is macra na feirme???
if you think its a club for farmers, it isn't anymore, caheragh macra has up to 40 members who meet up at weekends for nyts on the piss or head away for recreational nyt like kayiaking at lough hyne. one of the main benifets of joining macra is meeting new people through competition in west cork lik
debating 7 aside gaa, indoor soccer, putting on sketches or simple acting, or just simple fun quiz nyts.

The DVD of the 2008 festival is finally available. Copies can be ordered by sending a cheque/ P.O. for €25 per copy to Fergal Nannery, Carowrow, Loughrea, Co. Galway including your name and address.
The DVD includes the complete Saturday night on stage interviews, highlights from Sunday and the crowning of the Queen. Also included is interviews with all the contestants who give their selections as to who they think will be the new Queen.

Innishannon Macra are holding a "Fun For All Day" on Sunday 12th July from 2-6pm at the Valley Rovers GAA Pitch in Innishannon Village
There will be entertainment for everyone including Kids races, sumo wrestling, shave the balloon, face painting, count how many balloons on the tractor, music and lots more.......
Proceeds are going to the Temple Street Childrens Hospital
The Cork Summer Show is on this wkend 20&21st June in its new location in the Greenfields, Ballincollig. Its on both days from 10-6
. Seandun Macra will have a stand on the day with Sumo Suits also so why not come along and call over to our stand!

Clonakilty Macra will hold an evening of music, sketches and their winning drama play on Friday 12th June in Rossmore from 8.30pm. Proceeds go to West Cork Rapid Response. All Welcome.
Whitechurch Macra will host a Wii Sports Night on Friday, 15th May @ 8.00 in the Radisson Hotel, Little Island. cork county nite out would be savage crack! so far we have carbery and seandun id say muskerry would defo be up for it! i dont know anyone in avondu and imokilly have been very quiet lately but its worth checking out anyhow!! cool stuff
