- Well basically, the magic started when we recieved a grant of £25,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It encorages Norfolk girl Guides from the ages 13-19 to explore their guiding roots.
Last year we met at Hautbois House to decide what we were going to spend the money on. Throughout the year we have met up on numberous occasions and planned small events. Eventually we decided on a 10 day 1940s themed camp.
August 2007 we held our camp at Gressenhall Rural Life Museum. We camped for 5 or 10 days, living how they would of camped. We all had a really memorable time, and made some good friends.
Since then we have returned to the 21st century and now it is time to record our experiences, and share the news about girlguiding heritage.
We have had many happy times, and we hope to have many more with each other.
