- I inherited a passion and gift for music from my father. I spent happy hours singing by his side at the piano, as he played and sometimes shyly sang something in his warm baritone. He played all of the instruments, both wind and string, as he taught them all. Professionally, he was a reed man, and I have strong memories of him going out the kitchen door on Friday nights, dressed in a tux and carrying his saxophone, to play gigs at New York’s famed Roseland Ballroom and many other places.
I inherited a love of words and language from my mother, who was a writer. Both my parents had a great sense of humor, and I got that from them, too. I love to bring humor to the stage and make an audience laugh.
My mother had studied both French & Spanish in high school back in Brooklyn. Perhaps it was the Nancy Drew books I read as a young girl that inflamed my imagination with visions of adventure in exotic places. The most thrilling thing for me is to perform abroad & connect with others. - Music

Preparing to debut at the Rrazz Room at Hotel Nikko, Union Square, San Francisco
I just returned from a show in Paris and I was so inspired by the warm reception I received from the Parisian public! Can't wait to debut our new show, which spotlights French jazz but also features some original songs, opening at the Rrazz Room at the Hotel Nikko Union Square, San Francisco on Sept. 13 at 3 pm. We'll be there with the full TWIST: Music director Jason Martineau on piano, Dave Miotke on jazz accordion, Daniel Fabricant on bass, Jim Zimmerman on drums, Tony Malfatti on reeds and Patricio Angulo on Latin percussion.
