- I set up this band for all the people who have seen loved ones suffer or seeing loved ones battle lung cancer!
Cancer is something which hurts no only the person but family an friends so much that they cant stop hurting.
Being brave and helping that loved one is sooo hard so here is a band for people with lung cancer, who battled it or lost a loved one!
is that extra fag worth seeing your loved ones go through what they will.
stop smoking now!

what is lung cancer????
Lung cancer, or carcinoma of the lung, is a disease where epithelial (internal lining) tissue in the lung grows out of control. This leads to metastasis, invasion of adjacent tissue and infiltration beyond the lungs. Lung cancer, the most common cause of cancer-related death in men and the second most common in women,[1][2] is responsible for 1.3 million deaths worldwide annually.[3] The most common symptoms are shortness of breath, coughing (including coughing up blood), and weight loss.[4]
The main types of lung cancer are small cell lung carcinoma and non-small cell lung carcinoma. This distinction is important because the treatment varies; non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) is sometimes treated with surgery, while small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) usually responds better to chemotherapy.[5]
The most common cause of lung cancer is exposure to tobacco smoke.[6] The occurrence of lung cancer in non-smokers, who account for fewer than 10% of cases, appears to be due to a combination of genetic factors.[7][8] Radon gas,[9] asbestos,[10] and air pollution[11][12][13] may also contribute to lung cancer.
Lung cancer may be seen on chest x-ray and computed tomography (CT scan). The diagnosis is confirmed with a biopsy. This is usually performed via bronchoscopy or CT-guided biopsy.
Treatment and prognosis depend upon the histological type of cancer, the stage (degree of spread), and the patient's performance status. Possible treatments include surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy. With treatment, the five-year survival rate is 14%.[4]

my auntie laura has been ill wif an unknown illness 4 nearly 3 years and in june the discoverd lumps in he lungs.
She has been awaiting surgery 2 determine if they r cancerous but she has been ill so coodnt get the op. Then in september they noticed the lumps had grown. They no fink its lung cancer. 
I luv u loads laura, please get better soon! xx.

I just found out yesterday my daddy has stage 3 cancer. Please keep your fingers crossed for him he starts chemo on the 29th
my nanny died of lung cancer 22 june 2008 it was the worst thing ever to watch her go through the pain that she did. its the most painful thing to see when you know you can't help with the pain. rip nanny
My dad (64) was diagnosed with lung cancer in November, had whole lung, 12 nodes & vocal cord removed in January. Just finished 20 sessions of radiotherapy. He now cant keep food down, has lost 2 stone in 8 weeks, hospitilised last week and drip fed, so please keep fingers crossed thanks

my father died when i was only 6yrs old of lung cancer...i am now 19..it will be 13yrs since he has passed on Feb 15th the day after valentines...he will never be forgotten. i only wish one day they will come up with a cure.

My mum died two weeks ago with lung cancer, it was terrible to see all the pain and suffering she had to go through, the only thing that is keeping me going now is the thought that she isnt sufffering anymore.
my grandad got told a couple days he has lung cancer he stop[ed smoking 20 years ago. can evey one please cross your fingers... some people do beat it dont they? my love goes out to eveyone who has cancer and to there familys who also suffer
