- Avenged Sevenfold formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California. The band was started up by M Shadows and Zacky V while they where in High school. Syn was to awesome for the band at first, but later joined and they re released STST.

Johnny Christ - Bassist (Just jumped in the band when they sold out showcase theatre )

NEW ALBUM UPDATE
So with all this new album stuff being talked about on youtube, i thought id post a blog here XD
Shadows has confirmed that they will start writing the new album in june, so you can expect it early next year or even late this year, and i know you all want it now XD. anyways, check out the video on our page! Personally i think the Rev has gone back to a more WTF/COE type drumming thing XD so basically hes kicking even more ass!

New A7X Album????
So you all must be thinking, BUT THEY JUST PUT OUT DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH, AND THE ST ALBUM, well i guess but DITR was a B-Sides album, and the ST album was well released in 2007 . Anyways, you might not know but Avenged is covering Black Sabbaths song "Paranoid" which be be out Feb 16. BUT WAIT, in the interview with Metal hammer "Shadows also confirmed that Avenged Sevenfold will begin writing the follow-up to 2007’s self-titled album in the upcoming months."
