Queen's Moviemaking Society. We make movies from scratch: documentaries, music videos, short films, dramas, comedies, art installations, recordings of plays, the works. We also conduct moviemaking workshops, enter film competitions, watch movies, enter pub quizzes, eat pizza(s).

  • Casting and Filming of Mockumentary

    The FINAL AUDITIONS for comedy short are on Wed 30th Jan at the MBC Room 205 7pm.

    Once these are over the tapes will be reviewed and the casting list anounced soon after.

    Filming of the Mockumentary begins the last week in February. Keep an eye out here and on your email for more information nearer the time. If you'd like to be involved it really helps to come to a meeting just so we can organise things a bit better. It means you can state a preference on what role you'd like to have also.

    Good Luck to all the Audtioners and keep in touch if you want to crew the film!

  • CREW TRAINING

    Thanks to all the crew that came to the Auditions.

    If you come along to meeting we will sort out getting you trained up and be able to get you doing the job you are most interested in. We will from now on bring the kit to meetings so you can familiarise yourself with it.

    Any other people interested in being crew come on down to a meeting and you can have a chat about what role or roles you'd be interested in and we can then sort out training sesssions for you.

    Or its post production like editing or animation we already have stuff sitting waiting for a new person with an interest to get their hands on

      My name is Sarah Boles and I'm running for VP Equality and Diversity in the Sabbatical Elections 3-4th March.
      I’m in my final year as a Joint English and Drama student.

      I'm a woman. I'm gay. I'm not from Northern Ireland
      I need your vote to enable me, a person from a minority group, to represent minority groups within our union.

      I want to:
      • Make facilities available for all students.
      • Reduce sectarianism and bigotry by celebrating all religions and cultures in cross-cultural events.
      • Make Queens’ SU an accessible centre for reporting hate crime.
      • Reinstate the Night Bus scheme.

      Not sure if you got my post. The meetings are still on Wednedays at 7pm but they are now in teh Lanyon building at Queens (the main castle style one) in room G46. As you walk through the main doors and out to the quad it's on your right

      There should be some table read throughs soon. After that roles will be given out. The plan is to begin filming after everyones exams, so the end of January so you should know before then.
