I once had a friend who took the term ‘my life is the bottle’ to heart and for about four drunken hours he used it as his own personal slogan. He was happy, having a laugh and just generally enjoying the reality reprieve that the cans were giving him.
But now, he’s not allowed to have this feeling of elation.
Well, he wouldn’t be if the SNP had their own way, which I dare say they won’t.
So the teenage population is being targeted again and ultimately alienated from the people it is meant to be beginning to look towards.
As Iain Gray pointed out at first minister’s questions, why put forward a proposal which alienates your ultra loyal, bordering on SS fanatical, student wing?
And why ban the sale of alcohol to those who want a social drink at home while watching the football? The aim is to cut down on the ‘binge culture’? Well then drinking at home should be encouraged!
Look at France, yes that blue and white, garlic wearing utopia, they encourage drinking from a very young age. It removes the stigma and removes the untimely reliance it creates when someone is emotionally weakened.
I think the SNP have forgotten that political activeness usually begins to rear its head during teenage years.
But, please, nobody bother reminding them.
Their doing a fine job as far as I’m concerned.
