Davis is one of the finalists in the Sexiest Man category in TV Guide magazine's annual Best on the Box people's choice awards.
"It is very humbling," the 31-year-old hunk told Sunday News.
"I hadn't heard about those nominations. But the recognition we are getting from the viewers is humbling.
"As an actor you don't really know how things are going, but on the street the general view is that I'm doing a good job."
Tammy who has also starred in the big screen, on What Becomes of the Broken Hearted, Whale Rider and Black Sheep said he did not consider himself a sex symbol.
