- We can proudly announce the next installment of Club Houch will take place on Saturday 8th August at Faith Nightclub.
Once again we've returned with a Festival Special which should set the pulses racing.
We have 9 clubs involved, offering up 15 of Edinbugh's top DJ's over three dancefloors, all for the unbelievably cracking price of £5 a ticket.

What is luvely? To understand what Luvely is truly all about, you have to understand what it isn't. And it's definitely not mainstream.

Everyone knows what it's like to pay too much to get into a club, only to hear an overrated DJ spinning monotonous tunes in an underdressed club, with only a handful of coloured lights and tired old graphics on a blank bit of wall.

With its' own highly unique blend of uplifting music from twisted and euphoric through to dutch house, Luvely has dominated Edinburgh's thriving club scene. Now in its 13th year, Luvely continues to push the boundaries of dance music and the clubbing experience. First started in 1996 by George Paterson, Luvely was influenced by the thriving London club scene. Transporting his two favourite London based dj's in Rich B and Peter James each night. Luvely was soon creating a buzz and with a very strict invite only policy at its home of Wilkie House. It was soon decided to make Luvely a members only club and maintained a massive following, turning away at least 200 people at the door every single month.
Luvely has always been about 'a production' with specially crafted props and lighting. At the time this was a revelation as it offered the club goer not only upfront music but a superb visual representation of the energy and enthusiasm that was unique.
The year 2000 welcomed the talents of 'Tommy Kay' and 'Newton and Stone' who each were to bring a new and exciting element to the club and also brought back the hidden DJ talents of 'GP' to such an extent that a new resident format was introduced and is still in place today.
When the news filtered through that Wilkie House had been burnt to the ground the club had to up stakes and move and descended to numerous venues including La Belle Angelle and the Vaults before settling in our current home at the Liquid Room. We have been enjoying the loyal and hedonistic crowd for some years now and have had many special collaborations with other clubs such as Joy, Taste and Wiggle.
Recent event have grown in size from the modest 'Drop the Anchor' with 2,500 clubbers to the mega Fantasy Lands with over 12,000 clubbers all having the night of their life. New Events include the worlds' number one DJ: Tiesto at Ingliston, where Luvely has been asked to provide the VIP area. And the future is yet to behold…

Well, last few days to go folks, and i'm buzzing like a fridge!!!!!! as we close in on the club blogs i thought we'd add just that small touch of glamour, just to help get us through the last couple of days, and get us right in the mood for a smashathon.
For all you stylish individuals, i present............
FLAUNT..
Flaunt is the finest Glamorous funky house night in the Capital, since
its grand opening in January 2003 running monthly Friday's at Why Not it
soon became evident by the gorgeous crowd that gathered that they were
destined for bigger and better things.
The boys behind this great night George & Chris have put together a
night of true class and that is exactly why they have like minded,
stylish, glam and gorgeous people of Scotland flocking their events.
They have a very strict door policy and a music policy to match which
gives you the best in uplifting funky vocalled house on the market.
Since they made their grand entrance at Massa in April 04 they have gone
from strength to strength and with their carefully selected special
guest policy you know that when any dj that comes to play for Flaunt,
that they have to have a special charisma and a god given talent.
As time has gone on many of the World's finest dj's have graced Flaunt's
coveted turntables such as Bob Sinclar, Freemasons, Moto Blanco, Jason
Herd, ATFC, Seamus Haji, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead and Howard
Donald to name a few. As they continue to break ground in the Scottish
club scene bringing nothing but style, glamour and exclusivity to the
cities that they rock every month. 2008 is going to be a big year for
the Flaunt team.
Two of Flaunt's finest in Jon Edwards and Andy Finn will be flying the
flag at Club Houch 3. Jon made a few guest appearances at Flaunt and
was quickly asked to take up a residency. He has been with the team for
nearly 4 years now and has been found to be a real crowd pleaser and has
provided support to many of the world's finest dj's. Andy Finn is one
of the most recent dj's to join the Flaunt family and is making himself
a permanent fixture at many of their events.Since spinning at Flaunt
more club nights have been knocking at the door and Andy has since
played with the master of all things dance floor and credible Joey Negro
as well as the Soul Avengerz.
All you need to remember is If You've Got It..........Flaunt it

The time has come for the one and only Claudio to let the world know about a main stay of Edinburgh's clubbing scene, namely
So It Is. take it away CLAUDIOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So It Is started out life at The Venue, Calton Road Edinburgh on 25th March 2005 as a monthly event. The idea behind it was to create a care free clubbing environment where all were welcome.
In our time at The venue we were joined by local guest djs such as Derek Martin, Gav Grant, Huggy, Tommy Kay, Arrogant Mike, Jason Cortez, Dean Newton, Ross Dixon and the BeatRoot djs. Not forgetting our resident’s djs at that time Warner Powers, Claudio, Harry, dj Daz.
As The Venues closing date drew nearer we started to look for a new home which wasn’t easy as Edinburgh had so few venues at that time. So It Is left The Venue in December 2005 (RIP) which was followed by a 3 month break and finally re-launched at Faith Night Club the Cowgate on 21st April 2006 and from there the club has gone from strength to strength.
In the time that So It Is has been at Faith we have had some quality party’s and have seen the odd guest join us here and there none more memorable than when So It Is hooked up with hooj London club brand Pukka Up, doing party’s with them every 3 months for a year and half. In return Pukka up took So It Is to Ibiza to clubs such as Eden and Es Paradis and not forgetting the famous sunset boat party’s which we did several of and Pasha London too.
So It is now looks forward to the future and to the party’s that we’re planning in Ibiza for 2009 also all the party’s that we will be putting on in Edinburgh in our own right and with other club brands that we look forward to working a long side with our current line up of resident djs which include Tommy Kay, Jon Edwards, Claudio, Gregsta, Sandro Rodriquez and Claire Robertson.

Next Friday - FRIDAY THE 13TH !! (Oooooh scary.....haha. Don't worry, we'll look after you) see's Our House return to Cabaret Voltaire's Speakeasy after another successful party in October, which saw Jarp Sport make his Our House debut.
However, its now time for residents Liam Goldie & tonykeo to take over again in November and as always they'll be smashing up the Speakeasy, OUR HOUSE style !!
So, if you like your house music and like it funky, jackin, vocal, disco tinged or even a wee bit dirtier, then you'd definitely be better off in OUR HOUSE than yours so get your ass down !!
