This page is dedicated to our fallen biker brothers.
I myself lost my someone special and close a long time ago,
If you know somebody that died on there bike doing what they loved so much please leave a message for them.
If you would like a photo of the fallen biker displayed just email the picture of the person with some information if you would like and I will display it.

EACH NIGHT I SIT AND LISTEN

AS THE DOG WENT TO THE WINDOW

Saying Good-bye


The most beautiful sight that I have ever seen,
Is of a little old man on his foreign machine;
He was sitting in line waiting to pay,
At the entrance of a campground on a hot summer day;

His bike was all dirty and covered with grime,
You could tell he had been riding a very long time;
I told him he could camp anywhere that he liked,
He just stood there for minute and looked at his bike;

He pushed his bike up under a tree,
Sitting for a moment just looking at me;
He looked to me like he was saying goodbye,
I wanted to know the who, where and why;

He pulled out a tarp, bungies and bag,
Then wiped down his bike with a greasy old rag;
He placed his bag real close to his bike,
Laid down and went to sleep for the night;

I saw him downtown early the next day,
He looked so sad, so lonely, so far away;
I walked up to him and asked if he was all right,
He told me he had never seen such a sight;

Rather, a heartfelt need
For Asphalt Angels
To intercede

Protect us from cagers
Fumbling for pagers
Driving with pets on their lap
Cell phones in hand
Please understand
I'm tired of dealing with this crap

Oh Lord,
Help me to see
Mercifully
Keep, 'Thou Shalt Not Kill'

Daily Checks

Try to make a habit of some simple mechanical checks every day before you ride,
simple light and break and tire pressure could make all the difference.
Keep an eye on your chain and try to oil her as often as you can personally I use a brand name wax but I cant even count the amount of times Ive seen lads on bikes with about a foot of slack in there chain's.
If employing a mechanic to service your bike ask for the old parts to be held on to for you before you get your bike serviced as often there are rogue traders out there that will rip you off not all mind you but in the motorcycle industry competition is very low as apposed to cars and prices can be costly
at the end of the day a proper service will mean a safer biker to ride.

New to Motorcycling

Please get some proper rider training and remember to always wear your gear, Would you believe that most of my fallen biker brothers and sisters were not new to biking and had a lot of experience.
Keep out of bus lanes if avoidable as cars have a nasty habit of pulling in on the quick glance of there mirrors not seeing any buses.
Remember the 2 second rule and drive in the center of the road otherwise you give cars the impression that It's ok to over take you.
Be ware when filtering through traffic especially with trucks and bus's and pedestrians have a nasty habit of crossing in slow moving traffic and you will not see them step out from the front of the bus/truck.
As skill full as you might be and safe the person in the other car might not be and even If it's there fault you will be lucky to survive.
