- Hi there,
I live in Stewarton with my hubby, Graeme, and my 3 horses, 3 dogs, and 4 cats. No kids (I'm allergic) but lots of much loved nieces and nephews.
I'm a dog groomer and I've got a wee shop which keeps me out of mischief day to day. There are advantages and disadvantages to being your own boss - days off if I want them - hardly ever get a holiday! Working with dogs all day - getting peed on! You'll be starting to get the general idea!
Arnie is my young horse and he's coming on a wee treat. Torchy and Bianco are my little ponies. Just too cute for words. See the photos.
My dogs are Pilot, Fly and Eric and the cats are Stella, George, Morgan and Chester.
Thats the whole family apart from Graeme. He is the love of my life and the best hubby a girl could wish for (moans a bit mind you!!). Took me years to stalk him but hey, well worth it (ha ha NOT kidding).
- Music
- Rock Chick! All the old 80's rock (I love men with long hair - sorry Graeme!!). Also love Pink, Red Hot Chili's, anything along that line. Also everything ever written by Jim Steinman.
- Films
- Pulp Fiction, True Romance, From Dusk till Dawn (see a Tarantino theme here. Also love the Kevin Costner films, The Postman, Waterworld - anything post Apocalyptic type crap!
- Sports
- Horse riding (surprise surprise). Specifically showjumping but am having much more fun being a pony club auntie and just watching my little pony Bianco jumping with her great wee jockey Erin (see photos - horses). Arnie will be starting jumping again in the new year but he's got problems with his teeth just now so he's having a few weeks off. Trying to start running again cos Arnie would like it if I lost a bit of weight!! Bellydancing - well I've got the belly!! (seem to have given up on it these days - might or might not get back to it!).

- Horse riding!!! Only sometimes! When Arnie is being a numpty (sorry Arnie, love you loads) lolxxx
- Happiest When
- Out with my family and our assorted animals. Or when I'm on this bloody computer! I am obsessed! Fortunately, this Bebo is taking over from Ebay which helps!!
- TV Shows
- I absolutely love Heroes, River City, the usual Corrie, Easties crap and all the CSI's especially Miami and I also love NCIS.

- Skippy, you were the best horse in the world. So many folk had so much fun with you. You taught loads of folk how to ride and without you, lots of my friends wouldnt even have horses. I'm sorry you went so soon but I'm glad you waited to say goodbye to me. You take care up in horsey heaven big fella.

Hello, hello, hello,
Well, thats my holiday for next year all booked up. I'm walking the West Highland Way! I walked it last year with my mum and Gail and David and we had so much fun we have decided to do it again. This time we have increased the gang. David's sister and her hubby are coming along and so is my brother Callum! He has absolutely NO idea what he's letting himself in for. Walking with mum is a challenge in itself! Apart from the fact that she is physically incapable of passing any dog she meets without patting it (even when its muzzled and the owner is saying - leave it alone please!) , she cannot stop trying to organise everyone she meets. She had a poor defenceless Danish boy pinned down last time while she rubbed painkilling gell in his legs (note, the boy took the bus the following day and we never saw him again). That pales into insignificance compared to the fact that she cannot stop farting!! Yes, constantly, loudly and usually accidentally when total strangers are around. This meant that Gail and I were in severe danger of wetting ourselves laughing at her. So here's my poor unsuspecting brother coming along this time and the best bit - THE 3 OF US HAVE TO SHARE A FAMILY ROOM!! I havent shared a room with my brother since I was about 10 and I have no urge to start now. Unfortunately, my mum thinks its a great idea and cannot wait. Would anyone like to take me away somewhere hot and sunny and far far away the last week of May 2008? PLEASE!!!
Still, no doubt I will have fun (or I'll just get so pissed I wont notice). Please note, Graeme is not coming on the walk. He will meet us in Fort William and I would like to remind everyone that he was the only one who got bad blisters last year - WALKING ROUND THE SHOPS!! WIMP!!!
On an equine front there's not a great deal to report on just now. Apart from the fact that Erin and Bianco WON their class at Rowallan last week! This week they were absolute superstars and to be honest, Erin rode better and Bianco jumped better but unfortunately they were up against some pretty stiff competition so only managed a third (only, I would sell the souls of my entire family to get a third with Arnold!!).
Arnold is still not back on the road. It turned out he had a big abcess in his mouth which has now burst but 2 courses of antibiotics later and he's still not quite there. He is looking a fair bit happier though so fingers crossed.
Right, away to watch Graeme doing the housework!

Hi there anyone who actually reads this! Its been a bit hectic since the last time I wrote to this what with my beautiful big horse dying then I ended up with kidney stones but I've now got a wee happy tale for you. I've managed to win the "Most Improved" trophy from my riding club (Ayr Riding Club). As I am still pretty crap I must have been horrendous earlier in the year. They asked me to do a wee blog for their site so I thought I would bung it on here to give you a laugh. Click on the link below to go to it cos its a bit long for this blog.
Incidentally, Arnie has a lump under his jaw (teething according to the vet) so hasnt been out and about so no gossip there then.

I AM A SHOWJUMPER!! Okay, I am perhaps stretching a point here BUT the bottom line is, I got to Rowallan, I got on, warmed up and finally got into the main arena and jumped A FULL 1'3" course!! (yeah okay, my wellies are higher than the jumps but work with me here folks)
I am willing to accept that the Whitaker family have no need to worry about the competition yet but its a start. Amazingly, I managed to warm up with another horse in the ring (although he was jumping HUGE fences and eventually I just let Arnie watch - do horses learn by watching?). We then got Bianco out the trailer and Arnie turned into a little shite! He spun round, napped to her and eventually reared rather than leave her but hey, we got there (incidentally, Bianco couldnt have cared less).
After my round, Bianco and Erin came in AND WERE A PAIR OF SUPERSTARS!! Bianco is clearly meant for a showjumping career (shame she's only 3 and a half feet high ). The two of them were off having a ball. Ponies beware, there is a new team in town!
And the best bit, we were home in time to watch Heroes ha ha

Have you been blocked from viewing that user's profile yet? I really can't get over it, I've never properley owned my own but that doesn't mean that I would go around copying photos and claiming them as my own.
