Samhain heralds the beginning of the dark half of the year; the light is behind us and we are
heading into the bleak days and nights of winter.

Sounds a bit grim? I don’t think so! I personally love the autumn and the sexy Scorpio vibes which hang heavy in the air. Besides the bracing winds at this time of year blow all the cobwebs away and refresh the thinking BIG time.

Samhain, pronounced So-Wuhn, marks a seeding time, where The Celts laid the old year to rest, and started to seed their dreams for the New Year ahead. Fires were built to represent the sun and replicate its warmth in the hope of the spring to come. As the winter drew in, growth in nature ceased and the cold took over. At this point May Day and the dawning of spring was a distant illusion.

It was the Tenth century Abbot Cliny Odile who changed the name of Samhain Day to All Saints Day in an attempt to sanctify the pagan mind set. But The Eve of October 31st became All Hallows’ Eve, which eventually evolved into Halloween, an evening of Apples, Nuts and Oracular fun.

Halloween is the time when the veil between the mortal and immortal worlds is at its thinnest. Etherically there is little to distinguish between the two at the moment. Scorpio Time is like that. It heightens energies and our psychic perceptions.

Samhain is a sexy time so use it wisely. Use your magical prowess to cast a spell on the right person. There is no point in love which is not authentic and real; so be careful what you wish for….you just might get it.

This is a difficult scenario you have got yourself into. It just goes to show that it never works sharing accommodation with an ex. How can either of you move forward properly? In a way you have both been holding onto each other so as not to step outside your comfort zone

I completely agree with you, he has double standards and would not like it if he found out you had been seeing someone behind his back. Yet he has been lying and telling you he is out with friends, when he has been going to her all along.

I am sure these ‘sharing with an ex’ scenarios are common enough when long term marriages fail. We get so caught up in each other’s company that it becomes a habit. When you part company with someone you have been with for years, you are losing an every day companion as well as a lover.

Once something is over it really is essential that a clean break is made. You are now finding out what happens if it is not. To stay so intimately connected by sharing your living quarters with an ex creates an ambiguous environment. How many new lovers will tolerate the thought of their new love still living with an ex? In perpetuating this situation you are both complicit. You knew all along when he wasn’t coming back at night that the likelihood was that he was still seeing this girl. But it is not really your place to judge his taste in women if you really have ended your relationship with him.
