- Corine was born in the Bay Islands of Spanish Honduras At the age of six years old her parents took her to the Cayman Islands in the West Indies their birthplace. She is the youngest of her siblings.
Corine grew up and was partly schooled on the Island, advanced her education by studying through correspondence school in Sheffield, England. She started writing stories from an early age, way back when all she had was an exercise book and a led pencil; with hopes that someday she would see her writings in a book which others would be able to purchase and read. But she enjoyed having the opportunity back then to read her stories for others, and later on to her children for bedtime stories. She successfully completed a thirty-month writing course from the Newspaper Institute of America in 1991.
