Dear All,

It is with a heavy heart that I announce I will no longer be accepting bookings for local photo shoots.

Against all sane business advice, I relied on the goodwill of customers for prompt payment etc. I explained the shots, the process, the probable timescales for prints and allowed people to see me photo shopping their images. I never wanted to take a more formal approach with contracts, demanding full payment up front and an “I’m only available on this date, take it or leave it” attitude. I hoped everyone I worked with would understand that I wasn’t an average nine to five businesswoman churning out generic photos from a studio, but a busy fulltime wife and mother, working from home, who was offering unique photographs at highly deflated prices. In return I only asked that I was treated with courtesy and respect. The vast majority of you did and I thank you for that.

Unfortunately there are still a few who I am waiting on payment from, some who believe that I am sitting in my house twiddling my thumbs waiting for them to call so I can grab my camera and go take their photographs. Some who don’t understand that 4 to 6 week for prints means just that. Over the past few months I’ve changed my plans, arranged babysitters, and squeezed shoots in when no other business would have. I’ve spent untold hours in front of my computer screen making sure that my shots would meet customer expectations and worked long into the night. It has been stressful, time consuming and ultimately financially disadvantageous but I wouldn’t have swapped it for the world.

However there comes a time when enough is enough and, I’m afraid, I’ve reached that point.

I have some fantastic opportunities lined up and I’m genuinely excited about them. These will take me all over the UK and I’ll be working with the very top people in their chosen profession. This will be done on my terms without being detrimental to my finances, family life or my belief in peoples’ goodwill.

I have had the pleasure to shoot some great people, in some great places. A few of these people have since become close friends and I am eternally grateful for that.

It has been a massive learning curve in a very short period of time and I feel a much more fulfilled person for the experience.

Due to time constraints (!!!) I have not managed to list each individual piece for sale, nor the prices for them all.

For anyone wishing to have a fair idea, I shall shed some light generally.

Photography: Available will be 8 x 10 prints, 8 x 10 prints mounted ready for framing, and fully framed prints of various sizes.

Prints sold individually sell at a standard (straight from photographer- more on this later...) price of £20. Mounted of the same dimension are £25. Prices of framed pieces range from £35- £85, size dependant. EACH print is of a limited run (upping the long term value) and each comes complete with signature.

Fine Art: (encompassing drawings and paintings of varying genres and mediums) - available are a variety of drawings, either framed or mounted. Canvases of various sizes are also available. The price range on ALL art is between £60 - £395.

*IMPORTANT*... the prices that you pay in this instance are all *straight from artist*, meaning that for THIS NIGHT ONLY, you are NOT paying gallery prices. Bottom line? Your purchase is ultimately worth MORE than what you are paying for it on this occasion. Gallery exhibitions are pricier to lay on with larger overheads, with a percentage of sale funds going to the premise. The Masonic Show cuts out this element (in this instance) as the show was WHOLLY funded by myself, with some help from friends. In short- you are getting a helluva bargain, and me and my pals are skint now

Another point to raise will be that as this is a one night only event, we aim to sell ON the night, however we are willing to accept a set percentage deposit, should you wish to reserve a piece. Unfortunately, deposits will be treated as non refundable - but you will have 14 days to complete payment.
