Australia international who penned a new five-year deal with the Toffees in August 2005. The attacking midfielder was a revelation in his first season in 2004/05, making the step up from Millwall in the Championship with ease and scoring 12 league goals to help Everton finish fourth. Started his career with Sydney United before moving to Millwall for seven years, a stint which included an FA Cup final appearance for the Lions in 2004. A fan favourite for Everton and national hero for Australia after his performances at the world cup helped book them a place in the last 16 of the competition. Cahill has recently underlined his commitment to Everton and explained how the club has "got into his blood."
