HOW BADASS IS THAT?!?!?!?

Went to the Scottish Open in Grangemouth on Sunday the 16th. Got there really early for the weigh in and came up at 56kg - just in the <57kg weight bracket - so I was chuffed, cause that's what I was aiming for.

So after that it was 9:30am, and at about 12pm I find out who I'm fighting and roughly when. Because so few people were in my weight bracket I was automatically into the finals, versus the only other chic in my bracket, this chic called Laura Sweeney.

So I had to wait around until about 3pm for my fight. I dunno who or what belt my opponent is but as soon as I step into the ring, I see that of course it's a Black belt. My head was so wired from all the adrenaline I was like 'fuck it, lets just go out there and try and kill somethin'.

So I went out fighting. Lost in the 2nd round. Score was -1pt to 6pt, match was stopped on the 7pt(difference) rule. Even though I lost I still got a 2nd place trophy. I felt alright about the fight. I was only a yellow belt and way slower, more inexperienced and just generally crapper than my opponent. But I held my bottle and tried and I feel like I learned a lot from fighting her.

But yeah, found out afterwards that my coach and the edinburgh uni coach knew who I was fighting and they knew that shes been going to these scottish opens and brittish opens for years and someone said she won a belgian open or somethin. So considering, that, I mean, what can I expect. The up side is that I'm starting a nice collection of losing trophies.

I'll upload the video shortly...... but yeah, losing ain't as easy as you'd think it is.

I had my first WTF fight yesterday. I LOST! so annoying!

I feel like I coulda won. It's just that my face was a particularly strong foot magnet that day.
Oh well, just gotta train harder. Scottish open is on in March. Hopefully I'll be the one kickin heads then.
