- She’s dead today.
She and her boyfriend, Rob Maltby, were attacked by a group of 15 to 17 year olds, who beat them both and stomped on their heads and their necks.
Because Sophie and Rob are goths.
I am sitting in front of my computer, nearly speechless, wondering how someone could have so much hate for the way a person looks or for the music they enjoy, or how they could be so ignorant as to want to kill someone for being different.
And yes, I want her killers to suffer
If you've come on here to defend Sophies killers then dont leave any comments because this page is here as a tribute to Sophie NOT her killers!
If any1 knew sophie and has any pictures of her please can you send them to me in a message and ill put them with her other pictures

appealing sentences
TWO teens jailed for life for the brutal murder of a woman because she was dressed as a goth have lodged an appeal against their sentences.
Sophie Lancaster, 20, was kicked and stamped to death as she begged the evil pair to stop beating boyfriend Robert Maltby, 21, in Bacup, Lancashire, last August.
Brendan Harris, 15, from Bacup, was sentenced to a minimum of 18 years and 16-year-old Ryan Herbert, also from Bacup, to 16 years.
Appeal
The three teenagers who pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent on Mr Maltby, who survived the attack, have also appealed against their sentences.
Brothers Joseph, 17, and Danny Hulme, 16, both of Whitworth, near Bacup were sentenced to five years and ten months each.
Daniel Mallett, 17, of Bacup, was sentenced to four years and four months.
The cases will now be put before a High Court judge to decide if there is grounds for appeal.
Sentencing them in April, Judge Anthony Russell QC told Harris and Herbert: "This was a terrible case which has shocked and outraged all who have heard about it.
"At least wild animals, when they hunt in packs, have a legitimate reason for so doing, to obtain food.
"You have none and your behaviour on that night degrades humanity itself."

Guilty Plea
Sophie Lancaster and her 21-year-old boyfriend, who were both Goths, were beaten up in a vicious assault in Stubbylee Park, Bacup.
She died in hospital nearly two weeks after the assault in the early hours of August 11 last year.
The boy, who cannot be named because of his age, admitted murdering her and causing grievous bodily harm to her lover Robert Maltby.
The art student also fell into a coma with bleeding on the brain, but recovered and has since left hospital.
The defendant, aged 15 at the time of the attack, entered formal guilty pleas at Preston Crown Court.
Four other youths also admitted grievous bodily harm with intent to Mr Maltby.
Murder charges against three of the youths were withdrawn.
A fifth youth, 15, will face trial for murder at Preston Crown Court.
Reporting restrictions were not lifted. None of the defendants can be named for legal reasons.

I will be standing on the 4th plinth in Trafalgar square on Saturday 22/08/09 at 5am to support the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and Bizarre Magazine's Proud to be Different Campaign. Please come down and support me. I know it is early in the morning but what a fitting tribute it will be as it is also the weekend of the second anniversary of Sophie's tragic death. I will have a banner on the plinth with me but I need some people to hand out leaflets while Im up there. The more help the better xx
