Ciaran "LiveWire" Maguire (born 25th September 1986)has developed into one of the most promising and interesting young Gaelic footballers around. Raised on the mean streets of North Belfast, his upbringing has been crucial in his development as a footballer.

He began plying his trade when scouted playing GAA in the street with his friends. The scout, the TV Pundit Pat Spillan has been quoted as saying to his friends that, "I knew from the moment I spotted him he'd be a star." From this moment Mr Spillan mentored Ciaran, and Ciaran began playing for his local team, the Tiger's Bay Warriors. The young mans current performances this season where he won the Shankill road cup contrast starkly with last season. An accident almost tore the rising stars career apart. On the fateful night of october 23rd at 13:40 Ciaran ate almost his final meal. That night an expert doctor described him as "Up to his nuts in guts" with food poisoning. This descended into a spiral of events involving a bucket, a keyhole and Ciaran Maguire breaking his penis. This penile injury left him out of the game for long months.

An interest anecdote often told about 'Livewire' happened when he heard the news that Rod Stewart was playing a concert in Belfast. His excitement could not be told so he jumped on top of his kitchen table and began singing the Rod Stewart classic,'If you think Im Sexy'to his mother. Video footage of this amusing incident can be seen on any of the viral websites such as YouTube.

Shakespeare once wrote "If music be the food of love, play on," if this is true Mr Ciaran Maguire is feeding millions with his unique brand of gansta rap off pitch. Inspired by such greats as ghost faced killa, dead prez, 3-6 mafia and the corrs Ciarans compositions have brought him widespread success. Indeed UTV correspondant Dott Kirby (60) reported that the song 'Ty-Bone' inspired by sexual encounters in the county, was the best thing since Leather Ass died. Critics however have critiscised his explicit lyrics and the content of his shows, for example his use of the word Fermanagh and his repeated use of male nudity on stage.

The young lyricysts upcoming album 'FERMANAGH WHAT!!' promises not to disapoint fans however with tracks such as 'Westside Insecticide" an exert of which is shown below;
