- Imagine that Sweden is an island. Imagine that Scotland is one too. Imagine an arched wooden bridge connecting the two. Imagine a figure standing on that bridge, looking both ways, not sure which way to go. That's me. I've set camp there.
Though for now I'll take a step over to the Swedish island... But don't you worry, there's a bridge there for a reason! And I'll be using it - A LOT.
But don't be surprised if I change island eventually... ehrm.

- At the moment it's "Summer walkers" by Runrig - for obvious reasons. "O'er the hills and far away" from Sharpe - for similar reasons. And "I'm yours" by The Script - for other reasons.
- Films
- Priest (highly under-rated!), Hamlet, Irreversible, When Saturday comes (the team is shite tho), Phantom of the Opera (go for the phantom, go for the phantom!) and Monthy Pyton and the Holy Grail. Oh, and Sharpe.
- Sports
- Football, ice-hockey, handball, sport in general and hill-walking (must be mentioned tho not a sport per se). Ok, among-the-hills-walking now then...
- Scared Of
- Falling off an exposed scramble or slipping on a muddy descent and dislocating my knee. Again.
- Happiest When
- Sitting on a sunny and quiet summit enjoying the views - that's what life's all about

- a knight. My parents kept telling me they don't exist anylonger, but I knew they did. In England. I'd seen them on TV. Someday I might go south of the border and search for them...

I check the menu and notice that there's a special price for tea & cake, but that I need to ask for the options available.
Me: "Welche Küchen haben Sie?"
The waiter gives me an incredilous look...

A coffee shop at Dublin airport. Behind the counter is a young man, sporting the widest grin since Brendan Fraser. He greets me and it's apparent that his English is under development... it rather sounds like he's speaking from a script.
Me:A black earl grey, please.
Grinning man:No problem!
Wipes off grin, turns around, fiddles for a bit, comes back., puts on huge grin.
Grinning man:No problem! Earl grey is out.
Continues to grin.
I bit back the obvious "and when is he expected back". I also realised that since he wasn't offering a solution to the problem we didn't have (...) it was up to me to order something else. So I eventually took my 'regular' tea and apple cake and took a seat. No problem.0 Commentaren 446 dagen
