Singers, Ministers and Masters OH MY !!
Hey Guys!
Hope ya'll had a great weekend. well Friday for us was a shoot with an Artist and lecturer in the Crawford, followed shortly afterward by and a student (and coming student union president mind you!!).
Both went extremely well, or so I hear, I was on an old sick day on Friday, all that excitement about having a day off and heading out at the weekend finally wore me down and left me in a fluey pile. So I was on harsh office duty for the weekend, don't get me wrong I hit the town on Saturday to make up for all the overtime
Monday saw us with an afternoon shoot with John Spillane, the great Cork native, singer/ songwriter. The Crane Lane were more than helpful here and gave us full access of their gig venue to film. Thanks to all down there especially the Manager (a lovely guy) and a female bar tender who helped me pry my hair from a hook it got caught in while so professionally bringing Mr Spillane his coffee. Cup balanced in one hand, jug and sugar in the other, foot teasing the door open and hair dragging on a window net hook (he he t'would only happen to me). Really thanks again. Mr Spillane hadn't even read the story before-hand but flew through it, never the less, with great ease.
We spoke to a few more agents in the afternoon and had more success with participants (all will be revealed, I'll keep ya guessing, I'd say your at the edge of your chair, No doubt!!).
This morning we had the most picturesque of all the scenes so far, we shot down in Ringaskiddy with a retired Cork Harbour Board berting and dredge Master. We had lovely Cove in the background with boats and seagulls circling the frame. Mr Hourigan added a great quality to the scene, it was one of eminence character with a timeless storytelling feel. Not only that but the journey back in the car was a great one for us, filled with all the old Cork tales.
The afternoon saw us filming at Colaiste Chriost Ri boys secondary school with Minister Michael Martin. A huge thank you to all again at the school especially to Principal Mr Tomás Ó Caoimh for your time. The Minister had actually taught here before his public service days and so was a great scene and as expected was utterly professional. So a few phone calls later and a bitta office filing and here I am just about ready to knock off, so hope to talk to ye all soon and thanks for all your enquires again.

This puter's killin' me eyes!!!
Hey Guys!
Sorry I didn't write yesterday, we were up the walls our first shoot was in the morning with a F.G. politician in the lovely village of Douglas. It went well, took a while to find the office mind you but the shoot was good. We asked a few business and they couldn't tell us where the office was, there's obviously a huge political presence in that town.
Travelled back into the office and rang an associate with another shooting job, which is always great to do. We spent most of the rest of the day ringing schools and senior citizen's groups to get the true face of Cork involved. Everybody, I must say, are being utterly obliging to us. We have been able to involve a student and lecturer as well as a retired Harbour Board Berting Master and father and son team. There'll be great stories I tell you!
Looking forward to to-morrows shoots and most importantly a weekend with a clear schedule, oh there'll be a bitta partyin' this weekend, Oh yes indeed. All in the name of research OF COURSE!!
By the way anyone got any suggestions for a good night on the town. Corcaigh nightlife is fast becoming a thing of mystery for me, don't know where the best gigs, bars, or clubs are these days and indeed will go anywhere ,so if there's a hot word out there let me know! I suppose I could always leave the office and pick up the whazon but I fear the Computer has irreparably damaged my sight and therefore made the little leaflet letters impossible to read without a good glass of wine. MMMmm now there's a good idea. talk to ye soon.0 commenti 814 giorni

Mr Freddy White, Cork Comedian and our muggy weather!!
To-days been a great day, loadsa good news and great shoots, one of which was with the great singer songwriter Mr Freddie White.
I would just like to say thanks to all at the Cork Opera house for accommodating us with that, it's much appreciated.
Mr White had a great tone to his voice while reading, perfect for the project and was utterly professional. We spoke of future collaborative projects, but I must say most importantly it was great to meet such a musical legend.
We received word from (in my most knowledgeable
opinion) the greatest Female comedian and she too, would like to be involved in the project, we're just thrilled with that. Hopefully we can schedule a shoot soon enough and are looking forward to meeting this lovely lady, I must say, a definite plus to the job, is the great people you meet, who are more than willing to give their time.
We connected with a few more networks to-day most of which are with various film boards and festivals and entered onto some more map locator's. Can't say ya can't find us now!!!. Well you can I guess, and then of course we'd just tell ya anyway!!, but in this, the age of aquarius, Manolo's and espressos ya gotta get connected people!!!
Looks like winter has hit good old Cork again to-day (shock shock horror horror) but I must say I never mind, the office is cool as a breeze so it can rain away till Saturday if it wants
then, well then it would of course have to stop, accommodating us on our well needed night on the town. We strategically placed the plants in front of the wide opened window, and hey presto their watered for another week, I swear I wasn't being lazy just utterly focused on work OF COURSE !!. Talk to y'all soon.
