Am I Beautiful Enough Now?
I had a crush for a while.
Today I was going to ask him out.
I went up to him.
"Ummmm...Would you like to go to the movies tonite?" I asked.
"You're not beautiful enough. Sorry but I don't like you. You're not beautiful at all."
He walked away.
I stood there and let the words register in my mind.
"I'm not beautiful enough?" I questioned myself.
And the end of the day I went staright home and to the bathroom.
Mom nor dad were home yet.
What he said to me just kept repeating itself over and over in my mind.
I turned on the water and filled the tub.
"Sweety, I'm home!" her mother called as she walked through the door.
Seeing the light in the bathroo turned on she walked to it.
The sight she found wasn't what she had expected.
Her daughter lay in the tub, her eyes closed tightly.
The water a tinted red color.
The note on the mirror that was written in blood.
"Am I beautiful enough now?"
I've been told so many times I'm ugly, or fat, or just plan disgusting. It hurts a lot and sometimes I feel if I'm dead the pain won't be there anymore. No one would care if I were to kill myself. This is a story I wrote to explain to people that you can't call someone "beautiful" by their looks alone. There personality, spirit, and soul are beautiful as well.
