DEAN KANE TOOSHLEY-JOE has arrived...

a month early but he is here, safe and healthy!!!

My son was born on August 16th 2008, at 420pm! He wieghed 6lbs-9onz. We had a fun labour of 6 hours...

I woke up at 10am contracting 2 minuets apart...

I waited till 10:30am to make sure that I was contracting 2minuets consistantly so I got up to let David know, then we headed up to the hospital. slowly but surely we got there to find out what was going on

... because Dean decided to be born a month early the mid wife seleena decided that I should be shipped to Nanamio

... from there when they finally decided that I was in "REAL LABOUR" they found that I was dialated at 5 cm... so they decided to keep me in Duncan because we didn't want Dean born on the ambulance...and to top it off I couldn't find a babysitter for my baby Ben

... From here we called my dad, davids mom, and things went even quicker...Davids mom got there and just at I was dialated at 8cm Sylvia and her boys got there.

... hehe

... I had to decide if I wanted more pain killer or if I wanted to break the water bag to have baby... i decided to have the water broken...5 minuets later Dean was born

Dean is now 6'11 and is eating great...he had a lil bit jondice and low billy rubin, and is getting better quickly...

I am currently starting a JCP (Job Creation Program) working with CGC(Cowichan Green community). What my job intals is to share information about Food Security! Did you know that on Vancouver Island alone we only produce 10% of our own food??? and we get 80% of food shipped in from else where? That means if we were to have any issues getting our food shipped from else where we would only have enough food for three days reagarless of who you are or how much money you have!>haha thats craziness to me! >Why would we eat food that is picked in Calafornia when most of this food is grown locally? When we get our food shipped from far far away, what does that do for the neutrition? how long is any fruit or veggie good for when we get it shipped and sprayed so they can ripen while they are being shipped?> How many of our people have apples in our yard? or have room to grow our own food? who has land but isn't interested in growing food? Would YOu look into letting the community grow food on that piece of land? that is just amazing...about most of the things that i just never think about! >Well if you are interested in growing your own food, or thinking about growing food or are looking into growing food and don't know how drop by the Cowichan Green Community and gather some more information!!! We are generally opened Monday to Friday...some Saturdays...

Other thoughs that I have...

I like to think and think and think...and generally I am up allll night long thinking about how the community means to me and soo much information that I hold rather it to be spiritually, or knowledge of products that will benefit the community! I know about this product/program that will help the community...I think we as a community get cheated or mistreated and its not fair that there isn't much we can do about it!!! If we could have someone speak on behalf of us we would have more power...when we get an unfair bill do we just pay for it? or let it grow and grow and grow??? We pay it so it doen't grow and grow which is very unfair!!!...wouldn't it just be much more of a simple world if we could just make a toll free number to our lawyer and ask him or her to phone this company or even just write a simple letter and not have to worry about paying $50-$2000 for a lawyers time!!!...IT IS NOW A SIMPLE WORLD OF PRE PAID LEGAL members! Pre-Paid legal gives you a piece of mind when they are there for you every day...we have soo much coverage for so cheap...and to top it off we could get our Will and our Live will done! for the low monthly fee! it ends up being cheaper than a cup of coffee a day!

Benedict Batista Joe has 8 teeth four on top and four on bottem he is growing sooo fast...he is was army crawling for the longest time but just with in 2 weeks he has been crawling on his hands and kness and has been picking himself up and standing...Benedict is surpising me with walking along the couch and the bed. My son is the most awsome son any women can ask for...
