    Do you remember the scam outbreak a few weeks ago? Links were being sent out to profiles claiming that if you enter your username and password for Bebo on the website that you could view people that blocked you, boost your profile counts up by thousands and other ridiculous claims. You may not believe this, but at least 400 Beboers fell victim to this scam.

    The result: Once you typed your username and password. The script would automatically log into your account and change your password along with your e-mail address so you could never assess your account again. Few people got their accounts back (mostly with my help) but I don't mean to brag however, others didn't.

    Breakthrough: Scams like these are now very difficult to accomplish, Bebo have changed its security. Hazardous links are detected almost straight away and Beboers will be notified about the link warning them that it is potentially dangerous and isn't a trusted website of Bebo. Also, now if you have noticed, if you want to change your password, you can no longer change it directly via your account. Instead, a reset password e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address, which will evidentially prevent scams like the above from happening in the future.

    1. Login to your account.

    2. Find a band's profile that you wish to download from.

    3. Once on the band's profile page, right-click on the page and select View Source.

    4. The source code of the web page should be presented in Notepad (if not, you can copy and paste it into Notepad).

    5. Hold down the Ctrl+F keys or click Edit and select Find.

    6. In the Find dialog box, type getPlayer(escape('.

    7. The address that follows the searched for text will be the address of the mp3 file. (from the http:/ / to the .mp3)

    8. Copy the complete address into a new window of your browser and save the file to your computer.

    9. While the mp3 tags will be correct, the file itself will have a numeric file name. Change the filename so that it makes better
