Back to school with God Sunday will be 23rd August at 10.30 am. We will be having an all age service that day and focus on schools/children's work. It will be a celebration of all we do with young people and will be asking God to bless us as we do the work, and to bless those involved in schools from parents, children, and staff. We will be hearing what's going on in schools and at the church so it should be a great service.0 comentarios 117 días

Coming up
As I write this, it is the usual chaos at Crossword! Quiz nights were never meant to like this!! Bit quieter than last weeks karaoke right enough. There's lots of madness to come I'm sure. This is going to be a busy year for young folk at Claremont. Crossword on Wednesday and Sunday is growing every week (and I don't mean the waist lines) and Andrew is going to be taking Third Day in March. On Sunday 1st Feb we are starting a six week course called six steps to talking about Jesus which is designed to help people talk more freely and confidently about their faith. This is important because there's so much to tell folk about how God changes lives but it can be hard to do, especially when you're young. Even though you are convinced of the truth of Christian faith it can be difficult to tell your pals but this six weeks course will hopefully help. There are plans to do much more and make Claremont a buzz of activity for young people this year so watch this space! And don't forget that there is a band night on 7th Feb which should be loud and fun!0 comentarios 312 días

Come and see
In week two of Come and see we were asking the question why did Jesus come? The answer is that there is something blocking our relationship with God, stopping it being as good as it should and could be, and that thing is sin. Jesus came to deal with the problem of sin, bringing us closer to God. If we want to know God, we look at Jesus not only as an example, or as a great teacher, but as God with skin. Being close to him brings us close to God who sent him. Personal relationship with Jesus brings us into a right relationship with God. We were never meant to live this life alone or for ourselves. God gave us the ability to love and expects us to love him. He enjoys our company and our love! Jesus came to live and die for us, let's give him some love back!0 comentarios 376 días

It's our anniversary this year and we are having a series of special services and events. The morning and evening services on April 27th will be celebrating our 40 years, and there will be a service celebrating baptism on May 18th. Let's use this year as a time when Claremont takes off! Comments on what we do and how we do it, as well as what we might do in the future are always welcome.
