we got to burswood for aba half 4, obviously we had to get lost didnt we.
there was only aba 6 people in the queue so we was well happy we waited for aba 2 hours until the doors opened and got chattin to these girls, which we stayed wif durin the hole concert (:
when i got in the dome i ran as rast as i could to get to the front and i did right at the end of the walkway thing, but then it started gerrin busier and it was gerrin rammin.
evermore came on first, they wernt too bad but i was gerin impatient cos i wanted p!nk to come on ! then they went off and i was like omg she's comin on now!! soon as the lights went back off and the startin video
came on these women came pushin in so we didnt ave much room and they started avin ago at the girls we was with tellin em to turn to the side cos they didnt ave much room :@
anyway, when she came on i was screamin so loud i mustve deafend the people next to me. i couldnt believe it she was there right infront of me!!
i enjoyed the concert so much but then when she got to i don't believe you i couldnt breath bcz all the people was pushin and cos i was right at the front i was shoved right against the barrier and i was gerrin propa
hot. so i was startin to panick and i knew that this was gonna ruin the hole show for me bcz i was feelin any better, then she came to the front and sang crystal ball, i still wasnt feelin much better and i was gettin
ready to leave the concert but i thought ill give it another 5 more mins, then my mum told me to hold out my banner i was like na theres no point she won't see it. and she's like no jst do it !!
so i did, and at the end of the song she turned round to my side and READ IT!! then she tilted her head to the side like she does and went awwww, that's sweet! and smiled!!!!!!!! she was lookin into my eyes for aba
5 seconds! smiling at me! i was so gobsmacked!!
i felt so much better after that, suprise suprise! i couldnt believe that she took one minute out of her show and spoke to me!
then after she sang led zeppelin babe i'm gonna leave you (:
the rest of it was amazing then at the end she climbed down off the stage and touched everyones hands ! and when she came to our side, she was stood RIGHT INFRONT OF ME and i was literally about 2cm's
away from touchin her, she looked at me AGAIN but then climbed back on the stage. i was gutted but she'd touched loadsa peoples hands and i was the only one she spoke to.

Ave Mary A

Ave Mary A is a song about how fucked up the world has become, how we’ve all lost the plot a little bit. Me and Billy wrote that song and then we brought in Al Clay, whose does a lot of my post-production and mixing. He’s amazing and hilarious and he smokes really good cigars. He’s kind of like our clean up guy and he’s so much fun. And Ave Mary A is a fun song. I can’t wait to hear ten thousand people screaming that back to me.

So What

So What, what do I have to say about So What? So What?! So What was a joke. I heard this beat from Max Martin. It’s such a fun beat, so fun. And I was actually kidding when I said “I guess I just lost my husband, I don’t know where he went.” Ha ha, that’s really funny. Let’s keep it and it just kind of went from there. And it just got more and more wrong. The more lines we wrote, the wronger it was. And we kept it because I don’t really care. I don’t think about the consequences when I write songs and now I am regretting every second of it. No, I’m not.

Sober

Sober is a song that ironically I drank a lot while … My favorite thing to do is sit around with friends over sake and beer and talk about our drinking problems. I am not a quitter. I thought about creating an Alcoholics Obvious. And we would go to bars and celebrate how great drinking is. And so I wrote a song called Sober, which I am not actually being funny … Actually I am being funny. Seriously, Sober is a dark, kind of sad song. And it’s about the vices that we choose and I had this idea in my head, ‘like how do I feel this good sober?’ So I brought that idea to Danja and with this awesome girl Kara DioGuardi and we wrote this song, Sober. And it’s a pretty telling song and then me and Tony Kanal and Jimmy Harry finished it, production-wise, threw some strings on it and made it a little bit darker and a little bit more rocky. I don’t know it’s just a really really personal beautiful song, one of my favorites I think.

Crystal Ball

Me and Billy were sitting in the studio in New York and we always have a song were we’re kind of sitting together in a room like this with mics set-up, guitar mics and vocal mics, and we kind of just do a song once through with candles lit. No production, no pretension, no perfectionism, nothing. It’s just a vibe, it’s an energy captured. And that’s that song and, you know, it’s pretty obvious what it means. But I don’t want to know the future. I think that’s the best part is not knowing. And with The One That Got Away was one of those songs from the last record where, you know, we may have a little too much to drink or not enough or we’re kind of right in the yummy middle ground. And then Billy gets so pissed at me because I wanted to use the demos. I don’t mix a lot of those songs. A lot of those songs on the record don’t get mixed. Some of them don’t even get mastered. I don’t want them touched. And then he’s like ‘let me re-sing my part!’ Absolutely not. He gets so mad at me. The One That Got Away and Crystal Ball, if you listen close enough, he’s singing the wrong words, we’re not even singing the same song. But it’s so beautiful because it’s an energy. It’s nothing else but a raw vibe recorded. So that’s that song.

Glitter In The Air

What can you say about Glitter In The Air. Glitter In The Air was a fun moment. Billy Mann again and I…Yeah, I mean those are some questions. I hope that anyone that listens to that song can answer ‘yes’ to every one of those questions because if they can they’ve had a yummy, yummy night.
