- Hello friends! Writing has been a passion of mine since I was a kid. A long, long time ago
My dream of becoming a published author finally came true a few short years ago, thanks to the encouragement of my family. I write a variety of contemporary romance filled with on the edge of your seat suspense, laugh outloud comedy and sizzling sex!
I live in Florida with 3 crazy cats. A little gray tabby named Woofy, a pretty calico named Gin Gin and a solid black cat named Jezebel. Retirement from my "real" job is just a few short years away and something I eagerly look forward to. I want to spend more time with my grandchildren, travel some, and have more time for writing.
My goals are realistic. My life is simple. I like it that way.

"THE COWBOY WAY" excerpt...
"I want to talk to you."
"Really? And here I thought you stopped to kiss me." What was she saying? Baiting a man like Chase was dangerous.
There was a long pause. Something flickered in Chase’s eyes. His expression gave nothing away, though. Lacey began to feel nervous again, though for a different reason than the one back at the house.
"The cowboy way, ma’am?" His tone was soft, dangerous, carrying the subtle threat of an unspoken promise.
Lacey swallowed nervously. The cowboy way? That was twice he’d used that expression. She wondered what it meant. An explosion of heat uncurled inside her belly, as her imagination ran rampant. Of the two of them locked in a hot, passionate embrace. No longer was Chase’s mouth firm and unyielding, but soft and sensuous. His eyes darkened with smoldering intent. Yet instincts warned Lacey that Chase was just as dangerous now as he had been a moment ago, in anger. She tried to jerk the reins from his hands, suddenly afraid she was about to find out what the cowboy way was.
"Let go." Misty moved nervously beneath her, obviously sensing her growing panic.
In the blink of an eye his expression changed. "Not until you listen to what I have to say."
"You can’t bully me, Chase." The wind blew at her loose hair, and she reached up impatiently to wipe it out of her eyes. "I won’t let you."
He reared back his head and laughed at her comment. "And how do you propose to stop me? I could do anything I want to you right now and you wouldn’t be able to stop me."
Lacey tightened her lips in frustration, even while the thought of what that something could be caused a tingle of excitement to zing through her. As his hard mouth curved upwards in a crooked smile that was sexy as sin, she wished she could wipe that arrogant expression off his rugged face. He was so sure of himself. The look in his eyes told her to go ahead and try. Well, she’d taken self defense lessons a few years back and wasn’t as helpless as he thought.
"Then maybe you should have warned me about you, this morning!" She jerked on the reins again, harder this time. When he wouldn’t release them Lacey reached out and slapped him across the cheek. She caught her breath, realizing a man like Chase might strike back. He didn’t look the type to turn the other cheek, or ignore a challenge. Their eyes clashed in silent battle.
Then without warning he reached forward and pulled her from her horse and into his arms. His gaze dropped to her mouth before returning to her eyes. "I think you need to be taught a lesson."
"No!"
"Yes!" He hissed. He crushed her to him and slammed his mouth down on hers, locking any protest deep in her throat. Lacey struggled but it didn’t seem to matter to Chase. He over powered her easily, while managing to control his stallion’s nervous movements with ease and expertise. Lacey brought her hands up and pushed against his massive, rock hard chest. But it was like trying to move a mountain. She whimpered beneath his attack, becoming aware of things she didn’t want to notice.
She began to slip towards the ground and ceased her movements, bringing her arms up to cling to Chase’s neck. It brought Lacey closer to him. He growled, forcing her mouth open until he could slip his tongue inside. Unwillingly, she began to melt under his rough kiss, returning the thrust of his tongue against hers. A sharp need of desire uncurled inside her belly, turning her blood hot. She was afraid of not being strong enough to deny him if he should seek more than a kiss.
Lacey had never been handled so ruthlessly by any man before, no one had dared. And while she balked at his arrogance, she couldn’t deny the feelings he roused. The thrill of his mouth on hers, the feel of his whiskers against her tender skin and the taste of something sweet on his breath heightened her arousal. Her nostrils flared, greedily taking in the masculine scent of sweat, leather and h0 Comments 71 days

TRADITIONS
With Christmas right around the corner I was just wondering, what's your family tradition? We all have them. Mine is that my daughter, niece and I always get together one night very close to Christmas. We hang out, have dinner and exchange our stockings, which are really large gift bags. Like overgrown kids we sit around the tree and take our turns pulling gifts out. Making a big deal out of the new toothbrush or floss. LOL I can just hear them now, when they pull out those first aid kits.
Of course, there's some good stuff, too. Like the snow baby I get for my daughter every year to add to her collection.
We started this about the time I divorced my first husband. My daughter was being pulled all different ways because she had two sets of grandparents, her dad and me, and Christmas for her was spent trying to make everyone happy. She spent more time on the road trying to divide her time up between us because we all wanted her with us. So, to try and be considerate of that and help ease the stress of what should be a great day we decided to do our thing before Christmas. My niece has always been like my second daughter so it was only natural she be included.
We've been doing this about 16 years now

I'm Done!
Good lord, I just spent $250 on stocking stuffers and I am done Christmas shopping. I usually buy the girls, and by girls I mean my daughter and niece, the same stocking stuffers every year. They look forward to body lotions, toothbrushes, purse size hand sanitizers, nail polish and various other personal items. Of course they get candy, the good stuff, and my daughter gets a can of asparagus. She loves the stuff but it's so darn expensive. Gee, it was almost #3 a can this year.
This year I bought my son-in-law a few things for the stocking, too. He loves Red Lobster so I got him a gift card. He gets a jar of olives. I know it's weird but it's our funny tradition. Michelle has received a can of asparagus for Christmas every year for as long as I can remember
The girls always get a kick out of the practical gift I usually come up with. One year it was one of those car window breakers for just in case they get into an accident and end up in a lake. They can also use it for cutting the seat belt strap. Then another year I got them something that inflates tires in case they get a flat somewhere, they can at least make it somewhere safe to get it repaired.
This year I bought them first aid kits for their cars. Well...I have a little granddaughter now and my niece commutes back and forth to college every week on the turnpike. You never know when a band aid will come in handy. I also got her Triple A for peace of mind.
I'm not paranoid. I just like to be prepared. Anyway, they'll roll their eyes over the first aid kits and laugh, but it's all in fun. They expect something like that from me

Goth Queen
Ughhh. I've heard Maine is a lovely state...the home of LL BEAN!
The weather here is really becoming quite pleasant here, 60 degrees, no sun, cool with the possibility of rain. I'm certain you have a good reason for moving to Florida in the first place, like we did (long story!).
There's a hint of autumn in the air, my favorite season. I can't wait to see the leaves change color again and feel the frosty chill...not to mention the fact that the kids will be back to school. It's been a really long summer considering Florida lets out in May and they don't begin in NY until September.
We were warned our Largo home AC was about 18 years old and might conk out at anythime too. That's a wonderful thought. Hopefully it will sell before that happens.
Well, keep cool and thanks for checking in.

Hi Debbie!
Hope your weekend is/was great too!
I have been a Stephen King fan for many
years. The crazy thing is, I still
consider his 'earlier' works among my
all time favorites... (The Stand, Night Shift, Cujo... awesome books)The newer
stuff, I hate to admit, I don't think I even
read his last 2 or 3 novels. Maybe that
will be a goal for me to achieve before
summer's end. Read at least one SK book
that I've never made time for!
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
