OK so I'm going to a new Scout Group, do I.....
- Take over an existing troop to free up the GSL who is currently running it.
- Start an explorer unit as there isn't one for miles.
- Sort their stores out as they don't have a QM.
- Sit at the back on the committee.

The 'Black Widow' ESU is up and running!! (ish)
OK, so they chose the name. I guess I'll get used to it. One reason why they chose it is because it will be easy to do logos for. No argument there. At the moment I have 4 members but there is a district backwoods camp this weekend which I will show my face at and hopefully get some more people from that.0 commenti 793 giorni

Feeling neglected? Heres what I've been up to...
Scouts, I met some Scouts 2 weeks ago desperate to start up a unit. The GSL has given me the nod and that is taking shape nicely.
Work, I've applied for a senior engineers job with the same company.... We shall see
Home, Mum and Dad came up for a long weekend for the first time and had a great time.
Play, next weekend we are all off to Alton Towers/Drayton Manor with the rollercoaster club.
Jamboree, we are trying to get our talk back organised but no-one can get any response from Mike. Never mind......

August bank Holiday
OK so after all the big build up we went to the fete at Kingsley to see the Chinook helicopter. Tegan even knew the noise it made 'wocca wocca' We got to the field saw the helicopter from a distance and suddenly Tegan didn't like it.
After 15 minutes she had plucked up enough courage to touch it. 5 minutes later she was in it, and then we couldn't get her out! I showed her the passenger seat belts and she could have stayed there playing with them for ages.
Can I make a public apology to the Flight Sergant. It is my daughters filthy sticky fingerprints all over your helmet visor!
All in all we had a great weekend. It's a shame I had to work today. More overtime next weekend, after all we have a wedding to pay for early next year!0 commenti 824 giorni

how are you doing?
Sorry not been in touch for ages but have been settling into my new job and trying to sort out some of my home life.
Hopefully house will be on market in January and I will be a step closer to my new single life -s o if you know of any handsome millionaires throw them my way!

Glad to hear it is goin well with the explorers, am sure you will wonder what you were worrying about!
Things busy here, got a new job 7 weeks ago, settling in really well. So different from my old job which was the worst ever.
Busy as always with cubs, scouts and Gang Show. We are not going to Winter camp this year but did last year - how I remember all that lovely mud.
Got cub camp next weekennd and down to Live 07 at the end of Nove,berm busy in between times too.
Need to get a reunion sorted! Missing you ones

How is life with you?
Am really enjoying my new job, such a difference to where I was before. The flexitime is brilliant too.
Been at camp all weekend, and then hiking today - my feet are protesting now!

how's things?
I started a new job this week whilst full of the cold so been a hectic week, also had a lot of scout events on. Only I could be at the fire station freezing my butt off for 2 nights when full of the cold, while other leaders were no doubt lounging about watching the TV!
Got a leaders only camp this weekend, and meant to be running the beetle drive tomorrow night, so don't feel up to it!
Gang Show starts soon too so I have been busy with lots of admin, was thinking of going back on stage but not sure.

Hope the meeting goes well, am sure they will love you. You show them how it is done.
Just back from a cycling weekend with scouts,I didn't manage the full distance as my eye was really causing me problems but I did at least attempt it and I managed back on my own!
Busy week this week for me which is brill. Firefighters course for scouts,rock climbing,cubs and scouts start back, got my gang show registration to get sorted out, got a leaving party for an old friend and hikes away badge at weekend. Busy,busy,busy exactly the way I like it, can't wait.
