hey folks.. a little about myself... im an infantry soldier in the 2nd royal anglian regiment and im currently based in celle Germany and am looking forward to going afghan in summer2010!!

so apart from having a kid on the way and a new GF and moving to Germany wots else ave i been up 2?

well... i will be doing about 30 parrachute jumps in april! and ill be going to Kenya for 6 weeks in summer! and then Afghan next year :) recently been working my arse off and shooting the fuck of sum targets lol not to mention blowing shit up for my own amusement lol been pritty stressed with everything tho i think its going to be a fucking manic year to say the least got a language course coming up to learn arabic so i can get a nice pay rise lol but not sure ill pass it... but to be honest got bigger things on my mind... like getting the fuck back into the UK (my passports expired...) and im missing the missus lol need to get back and have a good fucking Rave up

With my mates or really stoned listening to tunes and being myself i'm most happy wen its about 2am im on my own or with carla listening to music lol nd i make some tea (3 Sugars) Light up 2 fags nd think of all the stupid things ive done and how dispite self harming how much i love life and all the people init even the cunts lol cos if it werent for the Bad times How could there be good ones???? So To The Bad Times!!!!!!! also you cant beat it wen im sitting around with a couple of my mates prob ben and ryan really fucking steaming pissed and ryan comes up with the immortal line.... 'ive got a good idea'... which usually ends with me in hospital for 9 hours with a pin thru my hand!!

      TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS,
      HE LIVED ALL ALONE,
      IN A ONE BEDROOM HOUSE MADE OF
      PLASTER AND STONE.

      I HAD COME DOWN THE CHIMNEY
      WITH PRESENTS TO GIVE,
      AND TO SEE JUST WHO
      IN THIS HOME DID LIVE.

      I LOOKED ALL ABOUT,
      A STRANGE SIGHT I DID SEE,
      NO TINSEL, NO PRESENTS,
      NOT EVEN A TREE.

      NO STOCKING BY MANTLE,
      JUST BOOTS FILLED WITH SAND,
      ON THE WALL HUNG PICTURES
      OF FAR DISTANT LANDS.

      WITH MEDALS AND BADGES,
      AWARDS OF ALL KINDS,
      A SOBER THOUGHT
      CAME THROUGH MY MIND.

      FOR THIS HOUSE WAS DIFFERENT,
      IT WAS DARK AND DREARY,
      I FOUND THE HOME OF A SOLDIER,
      ONCE I COULD SEE CLEARLY.

      THE SOLDIER LAY SLEEPING,
      SILENT, ALONE,
      CURLED UP ON THE FLOOR
      IN THIS ONE BEDROOM HOME.

      THE FACE WAS SO GENTLE,
      THE ROOM IN SUCH DISORDER,
      NOT HOW I PICTURED
      A british SOLDIER.

      WAS THIS THE HERO
      OF WHOM I'D JUST READ?
      CURLED UP ON A PONCHO,
      THE FLOOR FOR A BED?

      I REALIZED THE FAMILIES
      THAT I SAW THIS NIGHT,
      OWED THEIR LIVES TO THESE SOLDIERS
      WHO WERE WILLING TO FIGHT.

      SOON ROUND THE WORLD,
      THE CHILDREN WOULD PLAY,
      AND GROWNUPS WOULD CELEBRATE
      A BRIGHT CHRISTMAS DAY.

      THEY ALL ENJOYED FREEDOM
      EACH MONTH OF THE YEAR,
      BECAUSE OF THE SOLDIERS,
      LIKE THE ONE LYING HERE.

      I COULDN'T HELP WONDER
      HOW MANY LAY ALONE,
      ON A COLD CHRISTMAS EVE
      IN A LAND FAR FROM HOME.

      THE VERY THOUGHT
      BROUGHT A TEAR TO MY EYE,
      I DROPPED TO MY KNEES
      AND STARTED TO CRY.

      THE SOLDIER AWAKENED
      AND I HEARD A ROUGH VOICE,
      "SANTA DON'T CRY,
      THIS LIFE IS MY CHOICE;

      I FIGHT FOR FREEDOM,
      I DON'T ASK FOR MORE,
      MY LIFE IS MY GOD,
      MY COUNTRY, MY CORPS."

      THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER
      AND DRIFTED TO SLEEP,
      I COULDN'T CONTROL IT,
      I CONTINUED TO WEEP.

      I KEPT WATCH FOR HOURS,
      SO SILENT AND STILL
      AND WE BOTH SHIVERED
      FROM THE COLD NIGHT'S CHILL.

      I DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE
      ON THAT COLD, DARK, NIGHT,
      THIS GUARDIAN OF HONOR
      SO WILLING TO FIGHT.

      THEN THE SOLDIER ROLLED OVER,
      WITH A VOICE SOFT AND PURE,
      WHISPERED, "CARRY ON SANTA,
      IT'S CHRISTMAS DAY, ALL IS SECURE."

      ONE LOOK AT MY WATCH,
      AND I KNEW HE WAS RIGHT.
      "MERRY CHRISTMAS MY FRIEND,
      AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT."

      This poem was written by a Marine stationed in Okinawa Japan. The
      following is his request. I think it is reasonable.....

      PLEASE. Would you do me the kind favor of sending this to as many people as you can? Christmas will be coming soon and some credit is due to our U.k. service men and women for our being able to celebrate these festivities.

      Let's try in this small way to pay a tiny bit of what we owe. Make people stop and think of our heroes, living and dead, who sacrificed themselves for us. Please, do your small part

      Once on a yellow peice of paper with green lines
      he wrote a poem.
      And he called it "Chops"
      becasue that was the name of his dog.
      And that's waht it was all about.
      And his teacher gave him an A
      and a gold star.
      And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
      and read it to his aunts.
      That was the year Father Tracy
      took all the kids to the zoo.
      And he let them sing on the bus.
      And his little sister was born
      with tiny toenails and no hair.
      And his mother and father kissed alot.
      And the girl around the corner sent him a
      Valentine signed with a row of X's
      and he had to ask his father what the X's meant.
      And his father tucked him into bed at night
      and he was allways there to do it.

      Once on a peice of white paper with blue lines
      he wrote a poem.
      And he called it "Autumn"
      because that was the name of the season .
      And that's what it was all about.
      And his teacher gave him an A
      and asked him to write more clearly.
      And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
      because of it's new paint.
      And the kids told him
      Father Tracy smoked cigars.
      And left the butts on the pews.
      And sometimes they would burn holes.
      That was the year his sister got her glasses
      With thick lenses and black frames
      And the girl around the corner laughed
      When he asked to go see Santa Clause
      And the kids told him why
      his mother and father kissed alot.
      And his father never tucked him into bed at night.
      And his father got mad
      when he cried for him to do it.

      Once on a peice of paper torn from his notebook
      he wrote a poem.
      And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
      because that was the question about his girl.
      And his professor gave him an A
      and a strange steady look.
      And his mother never hung it on le kitchen door
      because he never showed her.
      That was the year Father Tracy died.
      And he forgot how the end
      of Apostel's Creed went.
      And he caught his sister
      making out on the back porch.
      And his mother and fathernever kissed
      or even talked.
      And the girl around the corner
      wore too much makeup.
      That made him cough when he kissed her
      but he kissed her anyway
      because that was the thing to do.
      And at 3 A.M. he tucked himself into bed
      his father snoring soundly.

      That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
      he tried another poem.
      And he called it "Absolutly Nothing"
      because that's what it was really all about.
      And he gave himslef an A
      and a slash on each dammned wrist.
      And he hung it on the bathroom door
      because this time he didn't think he could reach the kitchen.
