CAFOD launch £1 million Democratic Republic of Congo Appeal
A decade of war
For the last ten years, violent conflict in the Congo between government troops and rebels has left over four million dead. Despite a peace deal and pledges of help from the international community, the killings have continued. Recently, an upsurge of fighting has rocked the country, forcing at least 250,000 people to flee their homes.
Life is unimaginable for those caught in the crisis. Some will have witnessed the brutal murder of family and friends. Many will have walked for days in search of safety. Most have lost everything they own.

CAFOD has launched a £1 million appeal to provide blankets, pots and pans and plastic sheeting to the thousands in need. In a crisis like this, these simple items can make the difference between life and death.

I'm doing work experiance with CAFOD in Wrexham. My Godmother works there.
So, aye. I keep being conscripted to everything that CAFOD does around the area. G8 Vigils and Frugal Suppers and 7K Fun Runs ( In which I got lost - how is beyond me ... ) and I have to write up for half the things we do.
Aye - if any of the lot here knows Mary Clark, tell her " Hi " from Conor. Or Katja Jewell, by that matter.
