- Rainbow Youth is an Auckland based charitable organization which provides support and services to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trasgender, Takataapui, Fa'afafine, intersex and queer identified youth as well as education and information to the general community.
Rainbow Youth is based in central Auckland and is managed by an executive board made up of 8 young people. We have a drop-in center on K rd open between 10 and 5.30 on weekdays, where members can relax, hang out, get information and chat to the wonderful and knowledgeable staff. We also go into schools in the Auckland area, running workshops on sexual and gender diversity, homophobia, and sexual health.
We run a number of great social/support groups which are open to queer youth and are run by friendly and approachable youth facilitators:
- Queer4Shore
- Q4S starting up again in August 2009!! North Shore Group.. Casual and informal social group for queer youth (under 27’s). A great way to meet new people or catch up with friends, held in a cafe in Takapuna, every second Friday 3.30pm - 5pm, starting again. - social support group for 20 year olds and under, held at the Rainbow Youth Centre. Every alternate friday to Q4S. GQ runs activities, watches movies, plays games and provides a safe, supportive social atmosphere for its members to hang out and chat.

- Casual and informal social group for queer youth (18 to 27 year old’s). A great way to meet new people or catch up with friends, held weekly either at RY Centre or in a cafe on K Rd.
- Gender Quest
- Social support group for transgender and gender questioning youth (under 27’s) in a safe and confidential environment, held at Rainbow Youth Centre.

XMAS PARTY
Hey Everyone,
Rainbow Youth will be having it's end of year Xmas Party on Friday Saturday 19th December from 4pm onwards at the Rainbow Youth Centre. It is open to all our members, volunteers, supporters, friends, family, and whanau. If you're a long time member or gonna come along for the first time, come on down and enjoy a free BBQ and the fairy xmas festivities

Check out our photos for a JPEG of the Prism poster and get it out there, print off a copy and put it up at your school or workplace.
Email out links to the Bebo Page.
If your on Facebook join up to the event and then invite your friends!
Or drop by the Rainbow Youth Centre and get printed posters and flyers or a disk of Images and files to use to promote Prism.
Get the word out there and help make Prism the best night out!
