- Globally, Tiësto is best known for being the first DJ to play live at an Olympic games opening ceremony, at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and he has also been voted "best DJ in the World" 3 consecutive times by DJ magazine. He is also known for his first production, an acclaimed remix that thrust him into the sphere of world-renowned DJs. As of May 2006 Tiësto is the official worldwide ambassador for the Dance4Life foundation, fighting the spread of HIV/AIDS, for which he recorded the track "Dance4life".
His hit singles include "Flight 643," "Lethal Industry," "Suburban Train," "Traffic," "Just Be," (vocals by Kirsty Hawkshaw) and his interpretation of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings." "Flight 643" was voted as the second most influential dance track of all time by ID&T fans. "Lethal Industry" has one of the most identifiable climaxes in trance, "Traffic" was the first instrumental track to reach #1 in the Netherlands in 23 years. His artist albums, In My Memory and Just Be, together contain these mentioned songs in addition to more of Tiësto's better known productions. His Magik CD series of 7 albums, beginning with Magik One: First Flight in 1997 and essentially ending with Magik Seven: Live in Los Angeles in 2000, was the best selling trance mix CD series of all time.
Besides his solo efforts he has also worked with the support of Cor Fijneman, DJ Montana, DJ N.Cribbs, DJ FastX, Mauro Picotto, and he has collaborated with Benno De Goeij under the name Kamaya Painters and Control Freak, Armin van Buuren under the alias Major League and Alibi and also BT Brian Transeau. He has previously worked very successfully with Ferry Corsten under the name Gouryella (which is now Ferry Corsten alone) and Vimana.
Tiësto's motto is: "I feel the energy from the crowd and I try to give it back."
The people of Northern Ireland love everything this guy does,so why dont we "let the DJ know how your feeling" and come on board this club.
This guy has brought so mush pleasure to the mad crazy people of ireland north and south so if you like his stuff join in and "blame it on the DJ".

16-05-2009 Tiesto’s Epic Summer Will End With the Release of his New Album!
Tiësto has just told the LA Times that his anxiously-awaited new album is slated to come out this September! In an article that appeared last Friday, Tiësto told a Times reporter that, not only should the album drop that month but that LA itself was a major influence on this record's sound. He said, 'The six weeks I spent in Los Angeles last October and November were probably the biggest inspiration I had in making this new album. I was going out a lot, listening to music, hearing bands play. It pointed me in a new direction.'
It's going be a big summer for Tiësto and the fans. Tiësto will be back in California in May, playing his first ever show in Sacramento. He's also celebrating Memorial Day in Las Vegas with back-to-back nights at JET and The Bank, the party city's two hottest nightclubs.
As the summer kicks off, starting in June, Tiësto will begin his 16-week Monday night residency at Privilege in Ibiza. With up to 8,000 fans a night in the world's biggest nightclub, these exclusive shows will feature a spectacular multi-million-Euro stage and sound production. This truly unique club experience can only be seen during Tiësto's extraordinary Ibiza residency, so if you can make it there, it'll be more than worth it!
July brings London's historic open-air Victoria Park show. Tiësto has just added Australia's Sneaky Sound System and England's Calvin Harris to the opening lineup. Topping Australia's charts, Sneaky Sound System has worked with such legends as Kanye West, Empire of the Sun, and Stuart Price. Meanwhile, Calvin Harris's latest single 'I'm Not Alone,' which has been remixed by Tiësto, has been #1 in the UK for two weeks. This event is guaranteed to be an amazing day and night of epic dance music.

Tiësto will make ongoing appearances Monday nights at Privilege, starting June 8th and running throughout the summer until September 27. For a complete schedule check out Tiësto.com.
With over 8,000 people projected to attend each night, Tiësto fans will flock from all corners of the globe to experience the all-night dance parties that will ensue. A multi-million euro lighting, stage and sound production will create a truly unique club experience during this exclusive 16 week run. This production has been created solely for Tiësto's Privilege residency and will not be seen anywhere else ever.
This year, Tiësto will be previewing tracks from his upcoming artist album all summer long and if you want to be part of these exclusive drops be sure to buy your Privilege tickets early.
To add to the excitement, Tiësto will return to London this summer to perform for 25,000 people at an exclusive outdoor concert in Victoria Park. In addition to this show, Tiësto will be headlining Creamfields Festival at the end of August. These will be his only concerts in the UK this year, so if you can't make it to these, be sure to get your tickets for Privilege as they will sell out quickly.
Tickets start at €45 and are currently available for purchase at Privilege, Tiësto.com and Club Tickets. There's a reduced price of €39 up until April 30th. Tickets will be on sale at the door, prices subject to change. The tickets are on sale starting today
