CHICKENS
Once the eggs hatch,workers sort the chicks,collecting the females for shipment to egg producers.Since the egg industry has no use for the male chicks, they are killed almost immediatey.The hatcheries usually gas them,grind them up or smiply discard them in dumpsters to suffocate or dehydrate.

The life of a battery hen
I am a battery hen.I live in a cage so small I cannot stretch my wings.I am forced to stand night and day on a sloping wire-mesh floor that painfully cuts into my feet.The cage walls tear my feathers,forming blood blisters that never heal.The air is so full of ammonia that my lungs hurt, my eyes burn and I think I'm going blind.As soon as I was born,a man grabbed me and sheared off part of my beak with hot iron,and my little brothers were thrown,alive,into trash bags as useless waste.My mind is alert and my body is sensitive and I should have been richly feathered.In nature or even a farmyard I would have had sociable,cleansing dust baths with my flock mates,a need so strong that I perform 'vacuum' dust bathing on the wire floor of my cage.Free,I would have ranged my ancestral jungles and fields with my mates,devouring plants,earthworms,and insects from sunrise to dusk.I would have exercised my body and expressed my nature,and I would have given,and received, pleasure as a whole being. I am only a year old ,but I am already 'a spent hen.'
Humans I wish I were dead, and soon I will be dead. Look for pieces of my wounded flesh wherever chicken pies and soups are sold.

Right now, Mars is funding a study at the University of California, San Francisco, in which experimenters force-feed rats by shoving plastic tubes down their throats. The animals are then killed and cut open.
Mars has also paid experimenters to do the following:
* Force mice to swim in a pool of water and paint and find a hidden platform to avoid drowning—only to be killed later
* Surgically attach plastic tubes to guinea pigs' carotid arteries and inject cocoa ingredients into their jugular veins to induce dramatic decreases in blood pressure
* Force rabbits to eat high-cholesterol diets with varying amounts of cocoa and then cut out and examine primary blood vessels to their hearts
Not one of these tests is required by law for candy. Mars' chief competitor, Hershey's, has already signed PETA's statement of assurance pledging never to conduct or fund tests on animals.

Miss Marshallhace 58 semanasI have no problem with people being vegetarian, but i don't like it when they try to force thair views on other people (not saying you guys are trying to do that).
And also, if foxes eat chickens, lions eat wildebeast... i don't understand why people shouldn't eat meat?
And we are designed as omnivores... we need meat to complete our natural diet.
Just my thoughts.
