- It's hard to know where to start. Perhaps at the beginning. I was born in Thurles in Tipp. Left when I was 3 months old. Since then I have lived in Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Paris, London, Edinburgh and a few more places too.
I have settled down in Galway where I was Mayor recently I'm married to Niamh and I have 5 kids. We have two internationally famous rabbits called Rose and Phoebe.
I have many claims to fame. I used to be a sporting nut but never represented my country or anything like that. I did win a few cups, medals and trophies though. I played schools rugby, chess, hockey and badminton.
As far as I know I was the first person in Ireland to write a commercial video game and I have used the internet from the days it was text based.
I used to be a computer nut but I'm more rounded now I hope.
I'm basically happy but I tend to work too hard. Most of my work is unpaid which can present a bit of a problem from time to time.

Press release for Young Greens
1,000 Young Greens recruited in a month
-Greens recruit more members than Sinn Fein and DUP in Queen's, Belfast
Green Party Leader Minister John Gormley has welcomed the hugely successful Young Greens nationwide recruitment campaign that saw 1,000 new members join in a month. The newest society, set up in Queen's University Belfast, attracted more members than Sinn Fein, the DUP and Fianna Fáil, according to figures available.
Minister Gormley said: "This is a fantastic outcome for the Young Greens and I think it reflects the level of interest in the Green Party and its policies. I welcome the new members and hope the increase will boost the Party's activities across Irish campuses and the cities and towns they represent. I particularly welcome the new societies at University Limerick and in Queen's University in Belfast. For the first time the Party is represented at youth level, on an all-island basis."
National Expansions Officer Louise Archibold said: "We are particularly pleased with the new branches in Belfast and Limerick . The fact that we recruited more members than other longer established parties in Queen's in Belfast is remarkable and shows that there is a great appetite for new political thinking in the North. I am also very pleased with our strong performance in the University of Limerick where we now have the makings of a very strong branch."
Cllr Niall O Brolchain, Green Party Youth Officer said: "It has been a great pleasure working with the Young Greens across the country and the growing numbers ensure the Green Party will play a massive role in the future of Irish politics. This year's record recruitment drive has surpassed all expectations – we saw people flocking to the stands to talk about the political environment and I feel it bodes very well for the future."

Note to Editor:
The recruitment drive took place in Universities and Institutes of Technology in Cork, Kerry, Waterford , Limerick, Dublin , Kildare, Galway, Belfast , Louth and Donegal throughout the month of September.
The new Young Greens Society at Queen's University Belfast recruited 134 new members and was the best performance of any political society there including DUP, SF and FF.
With 259 recruits, Trinity College Dublin is the largest Young Green branch and one of the largest youth branch of any political society in the country

Freshers days in Belfast, Cork and TCD
Great news from all campuses.
Queens in Belfast managed to persuade 134 people to join their Young Greens Society. This put FF in the shade and was apparently the best performance of any political society.
More than 120 members were signed up in Cork a big increase on last year. Steve also signed up 10 members in CIT.
Unfortunately both these events were on during the Ploughing championships and I wasn't able to make it to them so well done to all concerned.
As for TCD, an excellent start to freshers week with nearly 100 members signed up on the first day and plenty more today.
The young Greens have done very well on recruitment this year. Congratulations.

Good news in Galway and UCD
The freshers day in Galway went well with 88 new members signing up. I also visited UCD on my way to the think in in Wicklow. They had already surpassed last years total with one one day to go.
I also got a text to say that the hugging tree had been found in Limerick.0 Kommentare 794 Tage

At least two direct hits destroyed houses in the city of Ashkelon and 57 people, mostly children, were admitted into hospitals for shock treatment.
The military wing of militant group Hamas, which controls Gaza, said Israel's "actions and stupidity forces us to intensify our attacks and put thousands of Zionist civilians in the line of fire in order for us to defend the Palestinian people".
The Gaza Strip has been under virtual siege ever since Hamas cemented its rule in a bloody takeover in 2007.
Essential supplies have been limited and hard to deliver through the Israeli-controlled and often closed passages into Gaza.
The six-month-long cease-fire enabled more deliveries and less violence on both sides.
Local analysts believe the period of peace benefited both sides, enabling Hamas to strengthen its rule within the strip and Israel to provide some calm for its southern cities' .

Barry Williams56 Wochen herPA Muslims Persecute Christians
The Muslim Fatah-controlled authority in Judea and Samaria is encouraging a "sharp demographic shift" in Bethlehem, where the Christian population went from a 60 percent majority in 1990 (when Israel was in control) to a 40 percent minority in 2000, to about 15 percent of the city's total population today.
Its estimated that, for the past seven years, more than one thousand Christians have been emigrating from the Bethlehem area annually and that only 10,000 to 13,000 Christians remain in the city. International human rights lawyer Justus Reid Weiner, who teaches at Hebrew University, told the Jerusalem Institute 4 Global Jewish Affairs that, under the PA - Fatah regime, Christian Arabs hav been victims of frequent human rights abuses by Muslims.
There r many examples of intimidation, beatings, land theft, firebombing of churches and other Christian institutions, denial of employment, economic boycotts, torture, kidnapping, forced Marraige 2 Muslims/ -
