Bad news for all Bones fans out there. Apparently, FOX has decided to put off airing the remaining pre-strike episodes of the hit series until this spring. This is a clear indication that the network is preparing itself for a prolonged writers' strike.

A total of three episodes were completed before the strike broke out, but TV Guide's Michael Aussielo is reporting that a never-before-seen installment will be aired along with the three.

The episode is none other than the one FOX pulled from its schedule last season in the wake of the Virginia Tech massacre. The episode, which centered on a school shooting, has been “tweaked slightly” and is scheduled to air sometime in May.

Dr. Temperance Brennan is perceived to be a clever person who lacks social skills. Her extreme focus on her work makes her appear snobbish and unable to relate to people. Aside from this, she is constantly struggling with a traumatic past, particularly the mysterious disappearance of her parents when she was a teen.

Special Agent Seeley Booth was a former army sniper who is presently working with the FBI. He often consults with Dr. Brennan when it comes to solving crimes although his methods and principles are entirely different from her tactics. Throughout the series, a romantic tension seems to build up between the two.

Dr. Jack Hodgins is specialist on spores and minerals. He is an entomologist but his interest revolves around conspiracy theories. Coming from an extremely wealthy family, he conceals his present occupation from them as they might prevent him from pursuing his career. Moreover, he is in love with Angela. He even asked her out but the status of their relationship appears hazy.

Angela Montenegro a forensic facial reconstruction specialist. Often perceived as artistic, wild and intelligent, she acts as an advisor to Zack. Most of the time, she shows attraction to men who turn out to be guilty of crimes they are investigating. Moreover, she admires Seeley Booth's hunky façade.

Dr. Zack Addy is the assistant of Dr. Brennan who was a former child prodigy. He acquired two doctorates and allegedly has a photographic memory. Even though he is extremely smart, he still lacks the confidence to express crucial insights when it comes to the team's cases. Moreover, he often consults Angela when especially when it comes to fashion and his appearance.


Dr. Camille Saroyan came from the Bronx which made it difficult for her to attain a position at the Jeffersonian. She is a strong willed woman who is compassionate about her team. Previously, she and Seeley Booth were romantically involved. Now, it appears that the intimate bond has long been buried but they remain to be friends.

DR. TEMPERANCE BRENNAN (Emily Deschanel) is a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute and writes novels as a sideline. When the standard methods of identifying a body are useless – when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that CSI gives up – law enforcement calls in Brennan for her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim’s bones.

Most law enforcement can’t handle Brennan’s intelligence, her drive for the truth, or the way she flings herself headlong into every investigation.

SPECIAL AGENT SEELEY BOOTH (David Boreanaz) of the FBI’s Homicide Investigations Unit is the exception. A former Army sniper, Booth mistrusts science and scientists – the “squints,” as he calls them, who pore over the physical evidence of a crime. But even he cannot deny that the combination of his people-smarts and Brennan’s scientific acumen makes them a formidable team.

Aside from Booth, Brennan is most comfortable with her equally brilliant colleagues at the Jeffersonian’s Medico-Legal Lab.

ANGELA MONTENEGRO (Michaela Conlin), an artist who specializes in reconstructing facial features and crime scenes, is Brennan’s earthy and bawdy best friend; neophyte forensic anthropologist

DR. ZACK ADDY (Eric Millegan), who has a genius IQ, is Brennan’s socially awkward associate; “the bug guy,” conspiracy theorist DR. JACK HODGINS (TJ Thyne), is an expert on insects, spores and minerals; and

DR. CAMILLE (CAM) SAROYAN (Tamara Taylor), the street-smart and centered coroner, must wrangle all the geniuses under her purview.

Several questions are left hanging at the end of Season Two: What happened after Angela and Hodgins fled the altar, leaving Brennan and Booth to fill the gap? Will Zack go to Iraq? What will happen to him there? Will Cam and Booth resume their off-again, on-again relationship?

In the third season of BONES, Brennan and Booth find themselves on the trail of a serial killer who discards his many victims’ remains off freeway overpasses. Brennan also must deal with the trial of her father, Max Keenan (Ryan O’Neal), for the murder of the Deputy Director of the FBI.
