- This is a page on GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan a.k.a The Genius!!
He's the oldest out of the clan and was born in Brooklyn, New York, August 22, 1966.
Before his days of microphone notoriety, GZA found himself, during the early ages of rap music, travelling throughout New York City sharpening his rap skills in scattered rhyme battles.
What has always set The GZA apart from the ordinary is his ability to create complex images with simple context. In the same way it's said that a picture is worth a thousand words, Genius assembles his words to create thousands of vivid pictures.

GZA (born Gary Grice, 1966) - He is the oldest member of the Wu-tang Clan as well as the most experienced, having began rapping in 1976, when hip-hop was still a local New York phenomenon. He was also the first to release an album, Words from the Genius, which was released in 1991 on Cold Chillin'/Reprise. He is known for his laid-back flow and complex use of metaphor, containing references to Samurai films, chess and 5 Percenter teachings. ABC Glasgow on wednesday night. thats where the show was at. GZA and Killah Priest killed it. Most down to earth guys 4 sure.

Seen the GZA last nite at the ABC in Glasgow, the guy is an absolute legend. Not only did he smash it up on stage but he gave the crowd plenty attention after the gig.
Respect to the guy for a massive performance and for acknowledging his supporters. Anybody who disputeds his superior lyrical ability over some of the glamourised rappers, who cant spit for shit, knows little about hip hop.
